Dancing is a lovely way to tone up and stay in shape. Everyone can benefit from dancing, and weightlifters/exercisers may find that it helps them their endurance level and coordination. Not only is it beneficial for the body, but it's also fun.
There are many types of dancing- swing, modern, jazz, tap, ballet, ballroom, salsa, and on and on and on. They all vary in history and style, but they're the same when it comes to how much movement is happening throughout the body. Every form of dance requires full range of motion, even upright dances. Beyond this, dance is a way to improve overall balance, clumsiness and memorization skills. Plus you look cool, haha.
Right now my main focus is on modern dancing. I dance four hours twice a week in class, and then I try to get in practice at least an hour every day. Along with that, I'm also working on combining isometrics with my dancing to focus on breathing, strength and proper spine alignment. I haven't needed to lose weight, but I have found that I'm more flexible from dance, and my core is more defined. I also have hella strong legs!
Post any dance experience you've had and how it's helped you.
Discovered my dancing skill last year on a school dance.
I'm not a good dancer, but according to the girls I ain't too bad either.
oh and I'm proud to be the one of the very few among my peers that actually have the balls to dance.
It's amazing when I find a heterosexual man that will dance. That's totally not meant to be a racist comment, but it's honestly harder to find. What kind of dance do you do?

I just mostly dance whatever goes with the song.
and you're female, right?
Yep yep. So, freestyle then?
Pretty much, yeah.
I'm not much of a dancer myself but I would actually kind of like to learn swing.
Most of the time I avoid dancing, however.

harder to find?? go to a club and there's gonna be alot of guys dancing, and if you're having trouble finding a dance partner just go up to a guy and grind his dick.
I'm not that great of a dancer but apparently I'm a natural at Just Dance 2 :buddy:
Swing is one of the easier dance forms, I think. Well that could just be how it personally is for me. You might wanna try seeing if there's any private companies hosting classes. Usually modmester dance classes are pretty cheap.
Haha, maybe at a club... but I was more referring to other styles of dance.
Those dance games are really fun! :)
I always go to the dance classes in my Gym in the afternoons. Most of the time I am the only man. In a room with 30 ladies. :smug:
I do Salsa. I do it for fun, and kick off shyness.
I dance in clubs. That counts right?

Oh, neat! Is it only the Salsa that you're taking in the gym?
Asm, sure it does. How often do you go?
I can grind girls for AT LEAST 2 hours at the club before my penis starts to hurt :c00l:
Someone at my school won the annual speech tournament with a speech about dance.
It was kinda convincing, I might give it a try.

Usually once a week, I didnt think it counted since it was mostly flailing around drunk
i'm great at moving to beats.
I just cannot dance. At parties, clubs and shit i get drunk as fast as i can and i use it as an excuse to not dance.

I get drunk as fast as I can so I can dance easier, because without alcohol I`m too self conscious about how much I suck at dancing.

You should! I'm sure you'd be allowed to take a class for free if you let the teacher know you were interested in starting. Just check around your local schools.
And it's definitely a good idea to not be too inhibited. Dancing at home alone helps with that.
I end up moving my hips uncontrollably, I don't think I'm a very good dancer.
I dance in front of my mirror every day.
I suck at dancing, but it's okay 'cause I only do it when I'm really drunk so I'm always convinced I'm an amazing dancer when I dance.

I look like an epileptic giraffe when I dance tbh

You just made my day.

That doesn't mean you're a bad dancer. You just need to especially concentrate on having a neutral, stable pelvis. Lay on the ground and take an imprint of what's touching the ground. Rock your pelvis up, and that's twelve o'clock. Rock it down, that's six o'clock. Side to side, that's three o'clock and nine o'clock. You want it right in the middle. Focus on that. :)

:wtc:
I wish I could dance. I know it's ridiculous, but I feel self-conscious even dancing alone.
Then you know what you need to do? Just make a random, big movement, right now. It doesn't matter what. Just move. Be comfortable with yourself and your environment. Make a fool out of yourself- afterwards you'll realize that it was okay, and fun!
