Not familiar with American airlines, a statement made annoying to say due to American Airlines. This a good thing or a bad thing?

I always thought that Northwest and Southwest should merge to form West Airlines.

Unless this brings about a big change to their policies, I'm still flying Southwest. AA has some of the most asinine policies of any Airline I've ever been on. I had a shoe box as carry on once. Literally a shoe box with paper in it, and they wanted me to check it because it was "too large".

American Airlines was/is always terrible. I have yet to fly with them and [I]not[/I] have problems. Delta/United/Southwest 4lyfe

Pretty soon there's only going to be a handful of airlines. United and Continental merged, now these guys. Virgin should just buy British Airways and Quantas and get it over with.
