Who the fuck steals lawnmowers?
at first I thought it was the guys own actual lawnmower, then I realized it was the cops I wish bad reading still existed as a rating...
Shouldn't have opened up the car. Not that I'm condoning this behavior but most people should realize that you don't have to consent to any search. If a cop asks to search then it's because he doesn't have reasonable suspicion.

But I doubt very many intelligent people go around stealing lawn mowers lol.
If a cop asks to search then it's because he doesn't have reasonable suspicion.
That doesn't make sense. If a cop stops someone because he blew a stop sign and the moment the guy opens his window he realizes the car reeks of gasoline, or pot than it's a completely reasonable request to ask to search the car. Either because you've got a gas leak that could, well, kill or endanger the driver. (You shouldn't bring gasoline into a car like that anyway, the fumes build up and after awhile of inhaling that you can pass out or become dizzy) or he smells an illegal subsistence for example, something that is criminal to have. I mean, yeah you have a right to deny a search but I don't honestly understand why any law abiding citizen would unless I was on my way back from a sex shop and had a case of dildos and penis pump I didn't want him to see. If a cop searches my car the worst he'll do is give me a ticket for my fuzzy dice.
Who the fuck steals lawnmowers?
Easy to steal and worth a lot. Assuming you don't get pulled over by the cop you stole from of course.
