Generally moderate but slightly left-leaning. He might even be more effective than Clinton with a Republican Congress, since a lot of his personal beliefs are more conservative even if he ends up with more liberal legislature (eg. he doesn't like abortion, but instead of trying to ban it, he funded full sex-ed classes instead of abstinence-only, aiming to cut down on unplanned pregnancies).

Trump poorly addressed the 2005 tape at the beginning of the debate so this might have an impact too.

Too early for post-debate polling being included in fivethirtyeight's model, but Clinton is basically back to her start-August peak. Edit: I'm not one to make predictions (that's why I go to 538), but I can't see a way for Trump to recover when it took him 1.5 months to just barely equal her polling.
