Those explosions are really impressive.
Looks great. Hope driving will actually be possible this time. In JC2, your average time spent driving a land vehicle is around 30 seconds before it bumps into a pebble and crashes off the road.
My main problem with JC2 were the physics. It felt like Rico had none, apart from just ragdolling upon heavy impact. Gunplay was the most awkward thing, it felt like floating around and the shooting itself was done in a really boring way. GTA IV came out in 2008, and since that I've been disappointed with every all games in this genre, apart from V. Vehicle physics seem improved. In JC2 they felt alien. It was like steering a train that occasionally spun around. What's the point in making these amazing, curvy road systems if the cars steer like trains? I wan't to slide around, I wan't to counter-steer. I wan't to use the brake. JC2 always felt so dull to me, physics-wise. Edit: Also, less copy-paste!! They probably have a way bigger budget, after the success of JC2. I don't want to see them make a few forest/nature assets and just paste them all over.
This was the most no bullshit straightforward piece of advertising I have ever seen.
I don't give a fuck about the graphics. I'm sold. No buzzwords, no nothing, just raw gameplay being presented with a slight bit of humour, and it looks fun as fuck.
I love the "We're not a racing game so your car can fly, fuck it".
that rebel drop system sounds like how they will put in micro transactions.

It's a more than fair cost to pay for the amount of shit you can blow up.
that rebel drop system sounds like how they will put in micro transactions.
...even tho the same thing was in JC2 given that there were some expansions that offer vehicles into the delivery system; it doesnt matter anyway, there was only like 4-5 and they were cheap as fuck too...
JC3 looks so damn good. This is easily my most anticipated game of 2015.
that rebel drop system sounds like how they will put in micro transactions.
They literally said that the microtransactions are just shortcuts for stuff already in the game.
They literally said that the microtransactions are just shortcuts for stuff already in the game.
I personally haven't heard anything about the microstransactions, I'm just glad those rumors of a F2P thing were bogus.
JC2 always felt so dull to me, physics-wise.
Saints Row 3 is dull, Just Cause 2 is just fucked up broken
that rebel drop system sounds like how they will put in micro transactions.
I thought they confirmed Microtransactions were out
i'm probably going to spend a lot of time just blowing up the same bridge
That bridge felt like it blew up too easily. One salvo from his launcher from the whole thing down.
Probably for demonstrational purposes.
I can't remember when RF: Guerilla came out, but it suprises me that its first now that I see another game with somewhat procedural destruction, other than Hatred. I mean, AAA game corps could have taken so much advantage of the hardware we have had for years now to make games where there is an actual dynamic. Most modern shooters I have played were basically like point and click adventures, you need to point and click or hold your left mouse button on enemies, and you need to make sure you have done it with all, otherwise the story wont progress. More games with dynamic campaigns and shitloads of physics, please.
Can't wait for this. One of the few AAA games at the moment that doesn't give a fuck about realism and every feature in the game is just literally about making it more fun
I'm wondering, why does his parachute keep turning transparent?
I'm wondering, why does his parachute keep turning transparent?
It does that to not block your vision when aiming.
I spent so many hours driving cars off mountains, never gets old.
Give it to me now ! Loved Just cause and Just cause 2 to death and the third will be no different
Holy crap, that wingsuit! Now I'm curious as to what the specs of this game are gonna be. :<
Just Cause 3 looks sick and all that, but when are we gonna get another game with Red Faction: Guerrilla tier destruction? I really want an open world game in a city where every building is legit destructible. But in a physics object way, not a 'Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction pre-calculated animation' way.
Just Cause doesn't use animations for its destruction though.
Yeah, but only a few specific objects are actually destructible. I just wanna plow through a city and be able to take down every building I can see. It always seems kinda flaccid in a game all about destroying shit when you fire a bunch of rockets at a big building and just get some decals on it that vanish a minute later.
I'd take Mercenaries 2 fake destruction over no destruction any day.
So would I, but I think we are at a point now where the hardware on offer would be able to handle some crazy physics based destruction. I mean if they could get Red Faction: Guerrilla to work on the PS3/360 then someone could be some real kickin' shit on what platforms we have now.
