It was requested of me to write a theme song for this show:

And so I wrote a quickie song, went into the old studio (which was super nice and fancy now, the guy is a genius)
and I recorded it. So here's Trever Bennett and the Arties' first (and probably last) single.

Also included is the theme song for Pete & Pete, which I sang and played trumpet for.

The name of the album is awesome in the song but what comes after that just makes me facepalm hard.

It's completely intentional.
I was going for something similar to The Dan Emery Mystery Band's "Other People's Tongues"

But with less shock value. Also it's a theme song that I was told to write a verse to.
I wrote it in the most blatant and ridiculous way possible.
It's also autobiographical. All true.

I tried to show this intention in the way I sang the last few choruses.

You complement the music but it was written by me on guitar (and I am very bad on guitar) and it's just a progression of thirds.
The whole song is a cop-out. If you're criticizing the lyrics for being gringworthy you're missing the point.
Just kick dance to it and relate. All your friends are dead too.
