Rest in piece, Although at least he had a fairly long life.
This quite sad, I like that band.
Though, I don't understand what kind of issues a 65 year old man could be having to make him do that

That was after he left the band. He used to be the lead singer/guitarist in the earlier stuff:

Rejection maybe. He got kicked out of the band after keeping it afloat for many years during its hardest era. Then, when the original band members were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of fame was not was included. As a result he must have been pretty depressed.
omg R.I.P. Bob :(
Poor guy
Why shoot yourself in the chest? Surely death isn't instant compared to shooting yourself in the head?
Also this sucks, fleetwood mac are great.

shooting yourself in the chest will always hit something and cause a fatal wound, but shooting yourself in the head isn't easy, you can miss and cause you to be paralyzed, blow your face off, things like that.

Symbolism. The heart is known as more than just a vital place to shoot in many cultures.

It's actually much more effective to shoot yourself in the heart. It's not a bigger target overall, but it's a more certain target, as opposed to the brain, which you can survive being shot in certain areas.
This year is so goddamn painful.
Rest in Peace.
