How has everybody’s Monday been? Pretty good? Well, it’s about to get even better! Lionhead Studios, the developers of the Fable, has updated their website! So what was that super-secret announcement? Why none other than Fable: Heroes of course! You know, that game that got leaked yesterday! Whoo! All jokes aside, there was one thing that Lionhead was able to keep under wraps, and that’s the first official footage of Heroes in action! Initially I was up-in-arms over Heroes, just look at it! It’s like a mash-up of Mario Party and the bastardized child of LittleBigPlanet! Well, at least that’s what I thought until I finally saw the game in action. The gameplay honestly doesn’t look bad at all. Sure it’s not your traditional Fable experience, but it does retain some of its RPG elements that select fans will appreciate. Factor in some nice visuals, a class system, four-player co-op, and Mario Party-esque minigames and you’ve got an XBLA title that not only looks like it’s fun for the whole family, but also something that hardcore gamers can enjoy! Don’t let my excitement be judge though (after all, everybody has different tastes), see for yourself right after the jump! eughhhh
lol, you guys still dont like it?
I don't feel like this game is targeted towards me.
oh god why
This company needs to listen to their fan base more, it was clear that either a new Movies or black&white game was in demand.
I'm gonna stick by my book cover judgement and say this game is not going to live up to the previous Fable games. That makes me really sad because defeating Jack of Blades in the original Fable was the most badass boss fight.
Bah!
I'm hoping this is the one where Lionhead go "Hang on a minute, people are saying they don't want fable anymore..."
Looks pretty stupid still, but kinda reminds me of Castle Crashers
Kill me
I'm hoping this is the one where Lionhead go "Hang on a minute, people are saying they don't want fable anymore..."
No this is the other one where Peter Molyneux goes, "The last game was a total catastrophe, then says that the next game is much better".
The combat is probably going to play exactly like Fable 3, with X being melee, Y being guns, and B being magic. Oh, and they're using the same exact animations from Fable 3.
How has everybody’s Monday been? Pretty good? Well, it’s about to get even better!
Total sheite and this changed nothing
The gameplay in the trailer is boring as fuck.
Looks pretty stupid still, but kinda reminds me of Castle Crashers
That's what I thought but Castle Crashers has way better graphics and gameplay.
After TLC, I just don't know what the fuck happened. TLC was good, I just don't like these new games. On top of being boring they don't even seem like a part of the same series.
It looks terrible.
The hell happened to this?
It's like they took "adventure party game for the wii", and slapped on fable to the title.
hahahah and people were expecting it to be something like a sequel to the Movies or B&W2 ouch
I doubt that the original Fable age-group will appreciate this. Also, it looks like ass.
I want to slap Peter Molyneux in the dick. Holy fuck, STOP MILKING. We don't need another Fabulous Fable, we need another Black&White, The Movies, Popolous, Theme Hospital, Theme Park, Syndacate or Dungeon Keeper.
I'm gonna stick by my book cover judgement and say this game is not going to live up to the previous Fable games.
Hey, disappointment was always the modus operandi of Fable's advertisement.
What the fuck have they done to my Fable? D:
I think its about time Lionhead got put down, like a sick dog. Get rid of them before they eventually try and make a sequel to Black and White or the Movies. They'll most likely fuck them up too.
I'm gonna stick by my book cover judgement and say this game is not going to live up to the previous Fable games. That makes me really sad because defeating Jack of Blades in the original Fable was the most badass boss fight.
Problem is that Jack really was the peak of Fable villain fights. Fable 2 had a villain which was made easy to hate (in a good way), but the "final boss" happened about an hour before the game ended and only realized as such in retrospect. And Fable 3... well, the third Fable's final encounter was so out of ideas and resources that if you squinted hard enough you'd probably see the individual frames held together with duct tape.
I miss when Fable took itself semi-seriously. All this cartoony bullshit is just taking a big shit on the series.
I never really liked Fable but this is just a joke. I'm still waiting for Black and White 3.
