The sixth film has finally been released in the US! You UKers have to wait until November 5th, sorry about that.
Anyone take time out of their Friday night to see the sixth installment of the series? I did, and I absolutely LOVED it. Better than Saw I. Didn't think it was possible, but I was just amazed by the film. I think my head almost exploded when [sp]Hoffman got out of his game by putting the damn bear trap through the window into those bars. How do you think of that?![/sp] I thought ALL of the traps were very innovative, and really tested its players both mentally and physically. Also, the blood spurting wasn't animated this time, that was a nice touch.
Everything about this one just blew me away, the opener was the most brutal of all of the movies as well. Outstanding film, would love to see it again.
So, just talk about the sixth movie, or all of them. I don't care, just keep it Saw related. If you don't like the movies, I don't give a shit. Don't need another thread on Saw turning into an argument about why there are too many of them and they just need to stop making them. Because, to be honest, it was planned like this from like Saw II or some shit, the movies wouldn't have made sense if they ended them anywhere but at the end of Saw I or Saw VI, so go away.

Well, this is a decent example of milking a popular franchise for all it's worth.
People keep watching them, so that gives the movie studio incentive to keep making them.

I heard they were making yet another one after this one, which I'm not surprised, it gets irritating though, seeing SAW advertisements all the time.
Dunno where you got that November 5th for the UK number from I went to see it yesterday.
A friend was like "want to watch a movie?" then didn't find out we were watching SAW until we got there. It was the first in the series that I've seen and it was just a lot of screaming and not very nice scenes :(
I wouldn't mind SAW if the story was as creative as the death traps. But unfortunately, the writers probably didn't pass English.

I only liked the first one, that didn't even have any gore except when you saw the guy cutting through his leg for like half a second. Now it's just about making the most gruesome traps.
