School officials took a report regarding a 13-year-old boy who kissed a 14-year-old girl during school hours. The unwanted kiss was allegedly the result of a dare made by students.
:v:
It is a strange, politically correct world we live in.
It is a strange, politically correct world we live in.
How is PC related here exactly?
This is such bullshit. Next lets charge children with kidnapping for playing stuck in the mud.
How is PC related here exactly?
A couple of years ago no one would've batted an eye at this. It's pretty innocent. Now it's rape

Death sentence to this psychopath
Wouldn't be surprised if that went on his record. Well, started his record...
oh wow..
It's one thing giving the kid a Saturday detention or something for it, but, really, a lawsuit?
Its most likely not going to go to court for one reason or another, there is probably not going to be a judge who thinks this issue actually is an issue. Like the kid should receive some sort of school disciplinary action, like suspension or detentions idk expulsion might be pushing it. It's not ok to kiss someone without their consent but like it should be more of a school issue than a government issue and it probably will stay that way.
Don't be so melodramatic. He shouldn't be charged with anything but its not OK to invade personal space like that.
Thats the thing. This situation should be like, a detention. It should have ended their. Just explain to the kid thats not okay. Instead somehow we on this random forum even know about it now.
While I'm not happy that this incident was escalated to such a level, I'm glad that schools (and society in general) are paying more attention to this kind of behaviour instead of just brushing it off as "boys being boys".
Thats the thing. This situation should be like, a detention.
Dunno. Suspension makes more sense. A kiss is a pretty personal thing.
Don't be so melodramatic. He shouldn't be charged with anything but its not OK to invade personal space like that.
The punishment for an unwanted kiss shouldn't really be anything significantly more harsh. "You kissed me, go to jail" shouldn't even be a thing.
I guess it doesn't mention the severity of the kiss either so that might come into play. Like if it was just a little peck that's one thing but if he like forcefully made out with the girl then the criminal charge makes a bit more sense. I'm reading way too much into this though so its probably not that serious.

They aren't adults. They're 13 and 14 year old kids. If you actually think a non-malicious, dared kiss should be answered with anything other than "Ewww, gross, get away from me loser" then you need to re-evaluate your perspective. This is not some greasy rapist walking up to a teenager and Frenching her for a solid minute. This was obviously benign.
Their children. The kid probably pecked her. You really are reading way too much into it
That's why I said that I'm reading way to much into it and its probably not that serious. :v:
Funny how it's a pretty huge trend for kids to do, "kiss cams," where they film themselves ambushing each other and macking on each other, and the world keeps spinning, but a kiss on a dare is assault.
The world is winding up in a crazy fashion Have some fucking tolerance jfc
That's why I said that I'm reading way to much into it and its probably not that serious. :v:
so why make the post at all, all your doing is trying to justify supporting a blatantly wrong viewpoint that stupid people are gonna see and go 'yeah that guys definitely right! what if the 13 year old threw himself on her and forcibly made out with her???' this whole situation is retarded and really goes to show how much of a nanny state we've become, if you pardon the term
The article is incredibly short so I can't really tell which it is, but to be fair, there's a difference between 'boy is dared to kiss girl in a game they're both in on' and 'boy is dared to kiss unsuspecting girl by friends' I dunno, I would have felt really uncomfortable in the girl's position, but I feel like assault charges are too much, like a school should be able to handle it - Kinda depends if the boy had malicious intends or not and with it being a dare, probably didn't
adults are now just as fucking stupid as kids are what's the point of having laws anymore
Thanks tumblr.
Thanks dumblr. Seriously though, why ruin a boys life over a god damn kiss? I understand that nobody wants to get touched when they dont want to. But suing the kid? Imagine this guy in juv. detention "So what are you in for?" "Kissing a girl."
People are so on edge to ruin a kid's life rather than teach him right from wrong; obviously no one else is.
Are you people for fucking real right now? The 13 year old dude kisses a chick on a dare. Sure he should be punished, but it's not a capital crime like you're making it out to be. Jesus Christ, might aswell shoot the little fucker and spare him the misery to come.
Just give him detention or hell, even a couple of detentions

The people you see posting "he deserves death for this" are being sarcastic. [editline]no[/editline] Unless I'm misunderstanding your post and you're talking about the people in the article.
