It's a really fun game, at least when you play with a regiment. There's still some problems in the game (the melee is still being tinkered with, some balance etc) but overall it's a great successor to NW. My old regiment, the 51st, got together again after several years and it's an absolute blast to crew a ship together or do some linebattles.
How does the game run? I noticed the game has hiccups then and there, but only saw it doing that during full server battles.

[editline]5th October 2017[/editline] From their website
I literally just looked at the credits for Napoleonic Wars, and neither of the Farrugia boys are credited as having worked on it - just the 4 members of Flying Squirrel. None of whom currently work at Anvil today I might add. I feel they wrote that quote the way they did to make you think they worked on NW, when in actuality they probably played NW and had their idea for a game based off of it. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind they're making a similar game (in fact I welcome it, much better naval combat <3), but like on that "we worked on nw" thing it seems to just be their word. Edit: Ok a friend of mine cleared it up, relfeax had. Odd that he’s not in the credits.
3:10-4:30 that guy screaming reminds me of a Monty Python skit, and I died of laugher.
I'm always surprised by the voices Criken's friends can make
One can think of the people who try to play the game seriously, only to be greeted by marching bands and "Welcome to tha salty spittoon, how tough are ya?!" I'd love to be in that shit though. :v:
