Trump to Join Titans of Homophobia at Orlando Conference
Less than two months after a massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando left 49 people dead, Donald Trump will be visiting the city to take part in a private conference featuring some of the most outspokenly homophobic anti-LGBTQ activists in the country.
On Thursday, 700 conservative pastors and their spouses will gather in Orlando, Florida, to attend the “Rediscovering God in America” event and Trump will be there to speak and take questions from the crowd, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday. The conference is being put on by American Renewal Project founder David Lane, a vocal critic of LGBTQ rights, and features speakers who have in the past taken anti-gay hate speech to remarkable extremes.
Lane endorsed Trump in May, saying that he “can be one of the top four presidents in American history.” He told Bloomberg that Trump’s proposal to change an IRS rule that prevents churches from using tax-exempt money to promote political candidates was a good “first step” in his appeal to religious conservatives, before pivoting to what he really hopes to see from Trump: a pushback against LGBTQ rights.
“Homosexual totalitarianism is out of the closet, the militants are trying to herd Christians there,” Lane said.
Are people really this delusional?
Just waiting for him to enact full Godwin.
And to think that some LGBT people here actually had plans to vote for Trump over Hillary.

You do realize that "sensationalist headlines" isn't supposed to be taken literally, right?

OP should use that then, instead of a blog post

It's not a sensationalist headline.
It's not a sensationalist headline.
You either don't understand sensationalism or you're just trolling. It's like "Sanders is a communist!" tier sensationalism. It's like left wing version of brietbart sensationalism.

Christianity has this weird complex in which they think that people are always trying to destroy it.
God dammit, Trump stop doing stupid shit.

Suicide watch with the rest of the usual suspects, presumably.
I want to know what he says first before making assumptions.
I want to know what he says first before making assumptions.
hmmm for some reason i can't see him going there and being like "ya'll are fucking idiots"
I want to know what he says first before making assumptions.
Golly gee what could he say in something as specific as an anti-lgbt conference
I want to know what he says first before making assumptions.
Nobody is making assumptions that he is going to go in there and start calling for stoning sodomites; the very idea that he is attending calls into question his stance on LGBT rights.
Usually I would say any publicity is good publicity, but as of the past hour I am starting to hit my head on my table.
What the fuck are you doing Trump?

Correction, any publicity can be good publicity.
For example, this is great publicity to zealous Christians who want to hear Trump bash the LGBT community. But to us, it's awful publicity.

Interesting point, I agree.
Going to be fun seeing all my family's facebook posts about how Trump is the person that will finally get rid of them god hating LGBTs.
It will be interesting to see him answer the questions, while most of them won't come as a surprise I'm still looking forward to it

It's a conference for religious leaders to talk to politicians. The blog title and article describe it as some sort of LGBTQ hate rally. In fact, the blog takes very little information from the actual source, which correctly paints it as Trump pandering to religious conservatives for votes, uses guilt by association, and over inflates the "anti-LGBTQ" point of view just to rile up readers. It's Brietbart/Gawker shit-tier "journalism", if you can even call it that.

Probably closeted homo.
I can't wait until Trump loses the election just so all the idiots on Facebook and the internet in general crawl back into the woodwork.

Seconding this. Sensationalist Headlines at its finest
Trump will probably be asked about lgbt issues at the conference and tell them we have to take care of all Americans or something like that. The focus will be on religious issues in government. Until Trump outright says that he hates the LGBT community or calls derides them as degenerate fags or something obscene like that I don't think you can say he is against the LGBT movement.
