Fire at a popular ice cream stand on the boardwalk of Seaside Heights, N.J., broke out shortly after 2 p.m. and firefighters are trying to contain the large flames from spreading to other oceanside businesses, according to initial radio reports.
I was driving by earlier when it was just starting out, but the fire fighters are having water supply problems.
That can't be good for the ice cream!

Thats kind of funny when you consider that they're right next to the ocean.
I was about to make a thread about this.

Its a total loss. Firefighters were told roofs are lost. They're going to do surround and drown im guessing
Something exploded apparently.

The insurance company will cover it.
Fire has been upped to a 9 alarm fire, which (assuming FDNY dispatch policy) means there are 64 engines, 19 ladders, totalling 83 fire trucks.
Fuck, man. I've had some great memories on that boardwalk. Sucks to see it go. C'est la vie, I guess.

It just got rebuilt too. So it kinda sucks.
I've been there so many times during the summer... it's insane, it's just... gone...
It was torn down, rebuilt, and now it's fucking gone again.
Enough already.
aw man I liked that place. :/
No! My vacation area!
within all this tragedy... I found this funny.

There seems to be a lot of fp'ers in New Jersey.

We already have a bonfire :v:
But yeah, I'm in North Jersey, so that's a bit of a haul for me ('specially with school and traffic).

I'm located around Brick Township
:( I never got a chance to go to the boardwalk. I think I went there when I was like 6 but that's far too long ago for me to remember.

No, not the waffles. ;_;
I live about a mile from here. I can see the smoke.
Wait, this is still burning?
I assume the guy who ran the Ice Cream stand sure is rethinking life right about now considering after months of rebuilding they just went completely back to the bare ground because of something in HIS shop.

I pray they rebuild Kohrs.
That orange custard is delicious. And I don't think I'll ever be able to go a summer without their orangeade.
And the carousel arcade. Gotta rebuild the carousel arcade. That place is where I first beat The Simpsons Arcade Game.
And the Sawmill. Best fucking pie in Seaside (aside from maybe Maruca's... or Three Brothers, both of which they should ALSO definitely rebuild). Especially the Sawmill though. That place was there since I was a wee lad. All my older cousins would be like "we were hanging out at the Sawmill" and I was all "oh snap, that's the big kids place", and now this past Summer I hung out with my friends at the Sawmill and now it's fucking gone.
They need to have the sign back too, that sign is boss (for those who don't know, the Sawmill had this really cool "old boardwalk" style sign of a dude in a suit and tophat with a curly moustache tying a screaming lady to a log headed for a buzzsaw. It's been there forever and looked fly as hell).
