http://globalnews.ca/news/2279213/canadian-flag-removed-from-poll-in-manitoba-after-colour-concerns/
A Canadian flag was removed from a Manitoba advance polling station on the weekend because a worker felt it violated election rules. Elections Canada said a worker in Virden, near the Saskatchewan boundary, thought the red in the Canadian flag could be interpreted as support for the Liberal party. Spokeswoman Marie-France Kenny said the Elections Canada returning officer was contacted by a local worker who wanted clarification of the rules.
Elections Canada has lots of stupid shit attached to its name. Doesn't the US just toss responsibility for managing presidential elections to each of the states instead of having its own agency (aside from that one managing financing)?
How would this be Liberal Party Bias? Does the Liberal Party have a Canadian Flag as their symbol or what?
How would this be Liberal Party Bias? Does the Liberal Party have a Canadian Flag as their symbol or what?
Their main color is red. All the major parties have the maple leaf in their logo somewhere but apparently according to that worker red pushes the line over since our flag is also colored red (as you can no doubt see off to the side of this post).
this is where they draw the line? there was a post on r/canada a few days ago of somebody complaining about a conservative party ad being placed inside the voting booth.
Elections Canada's being bent over and fucked by King Stevie after making too much noise about little things like, oh, candidates in his party violating the Elections Act in the last two national elections; that their election workers are badly-trained should come as no surprise.
How would this be Liberal Party Bias? Does the Liberal Party have a Canadian Flag as their symbol or what?
All three major parties have a maple leaf in their logo. The Liberal's just happens to be red. I guess if they wanted to go down this route of PC stupidity they could put up two more Canadian flags in blue and orange :downs:

I have no idea why it made so much sense in my head. When I made that realization I was like... Oh... OK.
How would this be Liberal Party Bias? Does the Liberal Party have a Canadian Flag as their symbol or what?
Did you even read the OP? it is the second line.

The only things we're told to remove are party buttons in the election station, and party representatives that are being disruptive in and around the facilities.

If you don't like our national flag, feel free to GTFO
How would this be Liberal Party Bias? Does the Liberal Party have a Canadian Flag as their symbol or what?
Voters know that Harper hates Canada and so flying the Canadian flag is obviously biased against him.
Why do you even need national flags flying at polling stations? Last two elections, for state and federal governments, I didn't see a single state/national flag (at least I don't remember, as I wasn't deliberately looking for them) at the polling areas. One was a primary school, the other was a community centre. Honestly the last time I've probably seen the national flag in-person would have been on the back window of a bogan's shitbox ute, like months ago.
