Does anyone else think that the way real courts of justice are being turned into reality TV-Show as one of the biggest signs that something is seriously fucked about American culture?

I don't believe any of those court TV shows, they don't seem legit. They seem more like they're staged and well acted.

I kinda wish they were just documentary-ish.
I don't like it when they try to be funny, and you can tell when it's staged.

Nope sorry, both this and Judge Judy are "Arbitration-based reality court show" which Wikipedia describes as:
Far more realistic than its dramatized predecessors, arbitration-based reality versions do not use actors, scripts, or recreations. Rather, they feature litigants who have legitimately been served and filed lawsuits, presenting their cases to an adjudicator. Behavior and commentary from all participants involved is self-directed as opposed to script-directed. As such, these types of court shows fall into a subcategory of reality television. It is for these reasons that many of these particular programs make clear claims to authenticity, as text and voiceovers remind viewers that the cases, litigants, and outcomes are "real."
They are real but the fact that there is a judge and a courtroom is irrelevant. It could be done in an office.
This is an out of court settlement dressed up to look like a court room case.

As weird as these shows must look to people who haven't seen them, I'm only going to be worried once they show large scale cases in a reality show format. These Judge shows are only small claims/minor issues, nothing like a murder or a robbery or anything.
Like someone above said, its based on arbitration, which is often used to reach a settlement without bringing in expensive lawyers or wasting the time of actual judges, at least in North America. Clearly someone thought it'd be a good idea to dress it up, and apparently its been successful.
But you can also go ahead and ignore this and jump on an American culture/people sucks bandwagon.

You're only bandwagoning if you just hate x because everybody else hates x. So first of all, I do not think all american culture suck, neither do I think american culture suck because the majority of FP thinks it sucks(which I don't even think they do). I do however think that the way the mass media works in the US is negatively affecting my opinion on american culture. By that I am thinking of how judges become celebrities through having their own reality shows, even though they are supposed to represent the neutral and objective hand of the state. I also don't like the way that the major political parties basically have their own news-channel, but that's not really worth getting into.
TLDR: I don't give a shit if it is an American, Chinese or Spanish judge that get their own reality show, all I know is that I do look down upon any culture where this is acceptable.

As others have said, these aren't judges. They are private arbitrators. They are linked in no way to the government and nothing they say is binding unless both sides agree.
Man this video brought up some not so fond memories of my fathers issue with drugs.
He used to be like that all the time.
Tupac isn't doing so well.

It's a small claims court thats not really even a court. This is for people complaining about ex's running off with TV's and laptops and drunk people smashing bottles against windshields. This isn't the kind of court thats going to get cases like Rodney King's and OJ Simpson's.

Don't worry, it isn't real. Real court is so boring and each case takes usually a quarter of the time that this video is long, and everyone's there waiting on their turn like the world's most boring and inconvenient ride

Yeah, I had to do traffic court for a ticket, it was an hour of waiting, 5 minutes with the DA making a deal, and 1 minute of pleading guilty to lesser charges. Paid the fees off on my way out and that was it
