George Zimmerman's best friend Mark Osterman will appear on the season premiere of Dr. Phil today. During the episode, which will be all about Zimmerman, Osterman revealed some interesting information about the night Trayvon Martin was tragically killed. Osterman claims Zimmerman almost died, telling Dr. Phil: "The injuries he had to his head could not be sustained for any period of time without either becoming unconscious or dying," said Mark Osterman. He said I'm blacking out. I feel I'm going to die," Osterman claims Zimmerman said after Martin' s death. "He told the police that. He said that in lie detector test, all of which they have. If they connected all this together from George's perspective he felt I am going to die." Dr. Phil is meddling where he shouldn't This is such a sensitive issue purely because how polarized the stories are, he really shouldn't be hosting this on his show, that's pretty irresponsible.
Zimmerman/Martin is still socially relevant?
I don't personally see anything wrong with this, wasn't it revealed that he was attacked first? [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] Unless that was debunked or something.
Since it's a TV show, the audience will still always be biased to Trayvon and make Osterman feel like shit with their criticism.
Nobody gives a fuck anymore
I'd actually forgotten about this case until now, I was hoping everyone else had too

[editline]11th September 2012[/editline] Unless that was debunked or something.
it was literally never revealed that martin attacked first, people just assumed that because zimmerman's head had a boo boo, despite the fact that zimmerman had been the one to follow a minor around with a loaded gun after being asked to leave him alone by a 911 operator.
over half the posters in the thread are why the news is so shit and focused on the "story of the day"
people still care about a pending case in which a man killed someone and got away with it?? fucking outrageous *goes back to lmao pics*

I saw the video, he looked pretty banged up.
That's why I asked a question, and didn't make a statement. Wasn't the case overall handled pretty shoddily too? I remember there being things they didn't check for, like drug/alcohol testing and stuff.
being banged up isn't evidence of being a victim when the other guy ended up dead all evidence points to zimmerman as the aggressor yet because he's the only guy capable of testifying (because hes the only one still alive), he managed to stumble out a free man by telling them martin randomly decided to turn around and assault him, just on a whim
What evidence are you referring to? I'm only asking because so far it seems there's virtually no evidence either way.
What evidence are you referring to?
he is a wannabe cop, vigilante policeman walking around the neighborhood with a loaded gun who called the police in a black teenager for "looking suspicious", then ignored the advice of the 911 operator and continued to follow the boy until a confrontation ensued if we're making guesses as to who started shit, i'm not going to go with "martin was having a bad day and decided to randomly beat the ever loving shit out of a stranger"
So basically you have no evidence other than zimmerman was doing his job watching a suspicious person in the gated community he patrols?
if we're making guesses as to who started shit, i'm not going to go with "martin was having a bad day and decided to randomly beat the ever loving shit out of a stranger"
Oh, we can make up bullshit guesses? My guess is that Martin tried to act like a punk and get up in Zimmerman's face which instantly turned into a confrontation. Also, a spent casing doesn't fucking jam in the fashion it did without a fucking serious struggle for the gun. So whether Zimmerman tried to pull it and the Martin reacted or Martin reached for it and Zimmerman shot him; there was a clear struggle and this wasn't a stupid fucking "he walked up and shot a kid" case. Regardless of whether I believe this or not - do you see how stupid this logic is? We don't know. We may never know. Making assumptions and trying to nudge them towards fact or logic is a fucking terrible way to go. Truth is, either party could be at fault. Both parties could be at fault. We have an injured "neighborhood watch"/"vigilante wannabe cop" and a dead "foot ball playing delinquent punk"/"precious minor baby boy." Let the investigation, police and lawyers do their job (and watch); because our incessant yapping isn't anything other than hot air.
Nobody gives a fuck anymore
not like anyone should've cared that much anyways, seeing as it's actually pretty common.

Making assumptions about the case while accusing others of making brash assumptions is pretty funny, imo. Also, repeatedly saying Zimmerman had a 'loaded gun' is rather insignificant seeing as how concealed carry holders DO tend to carry their firearms at all times.
The entire discussion of self defense/murder is irrelevant until the trial is over. The courts have the evidence, including stuff we probably don't know about. Let's see what happens.
Nobody gives a fuck anymore
oh i'm sorry did trayvon suddenly stop being dead?

Last I checked that isn't illegal or immoral. most CC holders have a loaded gun on their person at all times.

If you are going to put a man away for killing someone there better be some fucking concrete evidence that he was at fault.

"i swear he started it!" isn't concrete evidence
why do you keep pointing out that he had a loaded gun? It should always be assumed that the defendant is innocent. Never should it be "guilty until proven innocent". That's not justice, that's inexcusable.
I'm glad you agree with the presumption of innocence.
i do but unfortunately the catchphrase "innocent until proven guilty" ceases to be valid when you admit to killing someone
