Did they think everybody who buys Alienware computers were too stupid to install Steam?
oh wait...
Ughh, why would anyone want a shitty dell, let alone one of their shitty overpriced Alienware rigs, which all the parts are probably worth half of what you pay for it.
what's so bad about alienware?
Not arguing, I actually don't know anything about them.

They use cheap hardware and charge outrageous prices.
Basically, the pinnacle of ripping you off.

Why is the edit button broken?
One step closer to total domination of digital distribution!, but yeah anyone who buys an Alienware deserves a slap upside the head.
Oh, are you one of them people who thinks Direct2Drive is anything to be proud of? Or don't you like how Modern Warfare 2 needs Steam?
Seriously, what's wrong with Steam?
I like D2D since they don't use the stupid €1=$1 pricing system steam does.
Why do people hate on Dell so much? If you want to customize your computer then dont buy a dell. I had a dell for 7 years and it was good.
Wait what?, where you get that idea?
steam is pretty much perfect it's "competitors" can not even come close to it.

replying to that
Hah, steam doesn't price it's games like that, they follow the exchange rates.
What, is there now going to be an influx of alienfags coming onto Steam?
For once, I'm glad Portal doesn't have a multiplayer.

Only valve does this, for every other game it's still 1dollar = 1euro.
This is a good idea.
get more people on steam

1 dollar=1 euro happens in stores too, atleast where I live. It;s not up to steam but the publisher.
Free portal? unfair :C

This is a bad idea.
Get more spoiled 12 year olds whose parents bought them an alienware for Christmas on steam.

You know what is even more stupid ? Direct2Drive.
Once you buy the game. You can only download it 3-5 times.
My computer is no Alienware (late '06 hardware, bought in late '07), but for a hybrid between a pre-built and custom (parents paid someone to build it, put stickers all over the seams of the case so I don't open it and void some stupid warranty), it came preinstalled with Steam. I thank the single person who prepared my computer, for opening the door to the best games out there.
As for the Alienware... I can guess we'll have more players who will cry in a corner after they discover that TF2 runs no different than their last computer. :v:

EA is even worse, It's available for a week and you need to pay more to make it available for a year or something.
