Later this summer, Microsoft will be releasing the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 and Xbox One. The update is expected to introduce a number of new features and improvements for both Windows 10 PCs and the Xbox One. One of the most important features coming with the upcoming update is the new universal store for the Xbox One. With the Anniversary Update, Microsoft will allow developers to release Universal Windows Apps for the Xbox One. Therefore, the company will be merging the Xbox and the Windows Store soon. Now, ahead of the merger, several apps and games from the Xbox Store are already showing up on the Windows Store, reports OneTile. Games such as Overwatch Beta, Metro Redux Bundle, and even Halo: The Master Chief Collection Digital are already on the Windows Store. Additionally, apps like EA Access Vault are also up on the Windows Store. Of course, these games and apps are hidden from the public, so you won’t be able to find these on the Windows Store just yet.
http://mspoweruser.com/xbox-store-games-start-showing-windows-store-ahead-merger/
The Day when all of Halo can be bought on PC the Xbox will become useless
The Day when all of Halo can be bought on PC the Xbox will become useless
nah not at all i thought at first getting an xbone was a bit silly until i bought the TV tuner accessory, it does a better job at playing television than my tv itself the bonus is that i can watch tv in bed or while im at my desk without my tv being on, i can play games as well with the streaming ability (which works incredibly well), its just a perfect console for someone like me that doesn't like to sit far away from a television
imo the xbox will basically become a dummy game box for those who arnt smart enough to know how gaming computers work. and when they do get smart enuf to know, then the games will be on their pc too.

Does someone have links to these on the store?
That's basically the entire idea behind consoles and why they're successful.
That and they're much more affordable. A decent computer that can play modern games is a serious investment.
That's basically the entire idea behind consoles and why they're successful.
Not the way Xbox is doing it. Consoles are just islands with games. You can play the game on the console but can't really do anything when you switch to a different platform. I own destiny on the PS4, but i can't use that stuff on my PC/xb1/whatever. while the plan Xbox/MSFT is doing is to connect PC and console together, to make the switch over basically unnoticable saves/profile wise. EA is also planning a cross-platforming game service that tries to do that too, wonder how it will work.

Buying a console a few years after release costs a lot for games that aren't really as good-looking as their computer counter-parts - it's less bang for your buck.
For sure. And if you are willing to drop the big bucks on a gaming PC, you can probably ride that gaming PC right through to the next console gen without any hiccups. Couple that with steam sales and generally cheaper games and you really are saving more money that way.

It cost me a lot less to get an xbox one, and I don't have to keep upgrading the One for new games. Might not get the best performance or visuals, but I'm not broke either.
also paying to play online the console still has it's good points though, doubling as a fucking well engineered media centre, which people may see good value in
Chromecast/nexus player/nvidia shield is pretty good for that tho for way cheaper and better media playback (nvidia shield has 4k and 10-bit color playback)
Chromecast/nexus player/nvidia shield is pretty good for that tho for way cheaper and better media playback (nvidia shield has 4k and 10-bit color playback)
Do 10-Bit/channel TV's even exist?
Chromecast/nexus player/nvidia shield is pretty good for that tho for way cheaper and better media playback (nvidia shield has 4k and 10-bit color playback)
Chromecast doesn't even work on 802.1x/PEAP networks it's dead to me
Do 10-Bit/channel TV's even exist?
netflix does 4k 10 bit
netflix does 4k 10 bit
Netflix isn't a TV, it's a service. I'm asking if there's any TVs that support 10Bpc. Afaik, that's something you only see in professional monitors from brands like Eizo. [editline]18th May 2016[/editline] It just sounds like a waste to transfer 4 times as much color information if barely anything can display it.

People seem to forget that on a PC you can do thousands of more things than just gaming. And there are also thousands of more games available to play on your PC from every era and genres that aren't even available on consoles like most MMOs or strategy games. Games also tend to be free or cheaper than on a console, and you can even refund them now on steam. Then let's not even start on modding games, and games having better graphics. It can also eliminate the need for a TV when you can just watch stuff online.
well then there's also more of a learning curve to using a PC than there is to using an xbox, as far as I can tell
MCC is probably a glitch from the merger.
MCC is probably a glitch from the merger.
MCC is suppose to show up but as an Xbone title, not a Win 10 title. The Xbone beta for Overwatch also shows up and shows as playable on Windows 10.

If you factor that in, suddenly $600 for a gaming PC doesn't seem that unreasonable.
