NEWARK - Two New Jersey men who talked about attacking Americans and sought to fight alongside terrorists in Somalia were arrested at New York's Kennedy Airport as they tried to leave the U.S. and join the al-Qaida-affiliated jihadists, authorities said. Mohamed Mahmood Alessa, 20, and Carlos Eduardo Almonte, 26, were arrested Saturday before they could board separate flights to Egypt and then continue on to Somalia, federal officials in New Jersey and the New York Police Department said. They had been under investigation since 2006. New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said they had traveled to Jordan in 2007 and tried to get into Iraq, but were turned back by their would-be recruiters.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37534671/ns/us_news-security/ Oh look, they're from New Jersey. Move along folks.
Anyone ever notice how every time a 'homegrown' terrorist is picked up by law enforcement it turns out that the person/people in question had been under surveillance for several years? What does that tell you? The government is watching everyone, at all times. All correspondence and internet activity is monitored. If the government isn't watching everyone, they're most certainly watching all people of color or at least all first and second generation immigrants of color. :tinfoil:
Why do they need to point out that the games they played were violent? More media anti-video game bullshit. "OMG, wannabe terrorists played violent video games, BAN THEM or all our kids will become terrorists!!1!!"
Too be fair it's even weirder that they included "hiked in the snow".
Too be fair it's even weirder that they included "hiked in the snow".
Didn't you know, somalia has a fuckton of snow :v:

I don't do anything illegal, so I don't have anything to worry about cept' them seeing me do something like face planting into the sidewalk.
I honestly don't mind. I don't do anything illegal
Unlikely. The average person commits three felonies per day.
I'm from New Jersey :geno: Go fuck yourself.
you mad bro
"Home grown terrorism" seems like a term invented by the media to get people to be more paranoid. I've got to admit, it does sound worse than "pissed off guy with some C4."
Somewhere in America, there's a man in a suit sitting in front of 100 little monitors watching people masturbate.
