because sometimes there's not enough information and people end up giving more than they did before if asked multiple times.
if you listen carefully, whenever the dispatcher repeats the question, the guy ends up giving slightly more detail than he did before.
"what kind of car was it?"
"a blue jeep"
...
"what color is the jeep?"
"[b]metallic blue[/b]"
Not to mention, she can only write down so much at a time.

guy had his car stolen at gunpoint he was nervous as hell so asking questions that have already been "answered" is going to give him something to focus on rather than freaking out and having some kinda breakdown... I mean, towards the beginning she kept having to tell him that he's cutting out, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't connection that was the guy being extremely nervous/anxious so he wasn't really focusing on the call

It's not that. She was most likely communicating with police and everyone at the same time. Assuming that the video is linked roughly up with the audio, you can hear that she said to him hold on as soon as one of the police cruisers would've radioed in and said they spotted the car.

Dispatchers have a tough as shit job because they need to receive and relay information constantly.
uh, right when he started speeding hard and took that turn and nearly lost it. I knew his carjacking run wouldn't end well, as soon as he slammed the breaks and locked everything up he fucking totaled it.
