One day Steve was trying out some scuba diving. He explored the vast depths of the ocean. He even stopped off to grab a bite to eat! Unfortunately he never knew how to put the tank on correctly...Steve So this is a project from about...last year. I never finished it. I made a good sketch but i never knew how to do anything else to it. So i think i may have figured out how. I did this without the use of any tutorials (maybe i should have used some) so pretty much i just kind of did. I think it turned out well compared to my last attempts but you be the judge. Looks pretty good, I like the sunbeams on the right.
It's cool but the sub looks too basic.
Cool, I like the beams of light penetrating the ocean.
It's cool but the sub looks too basic.
Damn really? I should of put more detail into it. Cause its a scuba tank.
Oh shit, I feel like a retard now. My bad Rougelead.
I thought it was a submarine aswell. Cos I was going to say 'I can see you're going for the giant scale thing but it doesn't show very well' but you're not really so its okay.
I think you should add something to the tank that was shown that either it was being filled or that it was ripped off a guy's back (e.g. pipes with a mouthpiece or something.) Otherwise its as close to perfect as it could be.
need a bit more depth
It's facing the opposite direction from all the light. The BG needs to be flipped horizontally. [editline]10:25PM[/editline]
need a bit more depth
Don't go too deep the scuba tank might explode :downsrim:
It's horribly undetailed, the shading is not shading it's just random lines with random colour. Only details on that octopus are the eye and a weird yellow thing next to the eye. Texture definition is horrible, makes him look like he has random bumps and lines on him. The tentacles are weird as hell. Stop drawing from head if you know jack shit about octopusses, use reference.

I think he understands how to do all of what you're trying to say. Have you NEVER seen him post work before? he's good. http://rogelead.deviantart.com/gallery/ Don't take this as me calling you out, but your crit always sounds like an attack or your pissed off.
I have seen him post him work before. http://rogelead.deviantart.com/art/Lake-in-the-Mountains-BC-112047300?q=gallery%3Arogelead%2F6368456&qo=53 I guess that's the first thing I saw. Just because you're good at vectors doesn't mean you can do everything else.
Just because you're good at vectors doesn't mean you can do everything else.
Those aren't vectors. They're rasters done in the style of vectors. He's said that multiple times in his threads.
difference is only in end result, everything else is ewxakleh the same. Check my devart, I do resters in style of vectors, too.
Pretty cool drawing, though it's a little sloppy and there are no suckers! Suckers are 2nd most important to tentacles.
Creative!
Sorry, it's onrealistic I don't see any oil.
It's very artistic and unique. It's awesome.
