• Marco Rubio Quits Politics
Marco Rubio, ambushed in the halls of the U.S. Capitol today, spoke to a crush of reporters seeking comment about his humiliating Florida defeat, asking about his future and his next step. Rubio replied, tired, beaten, that he “won’t be anyone’s vice-president” and that he has no plans to seek re-election to the U.S. Senate. Rubio has, for all intents and purposes, quit politics. “I’m looking forward to being a private citizen,” Rubio said to CNN today, looking weary from a long and contentious primary season. Senator Marco Rubio returned to his day job today, attending Senate meetings and meeting with staffers to discuss how he’s going to try and work for the people of Florida in his remaining months in office. Heavily criticized on the campaign trail, Marco Rubio’s voting record has been less than stellar — the worst in the Senate in fact, and his performance in the Florida primary, his home state — reflects just how little the people of Florida think of Rubio.

“I’m not going to be Vice President. I’m not running for Governor of Florida, I’m going to finish up my term in the Senate. Over the next 10 months we’re gonna work really hard here and we have some things we want to achieve. And then I’ll be a private citizen in January,” Marco Rubio said to reporters outside his Senate office today.
Article
Good. Marco Rubio is unequivocally unfit for public office.
Jesus Christ he really took that loss hard didnt he?
Jesus Christ he really took that loss hard didnt he?
He expected to have a lot more support from people he considered to be his own, and he didn't get it. I think seeing that, in spite of the effort he put in, just shattered him.
Jesus Christ he really took that loss hard didnt he?
Well now that everyone knows he's a Robot I guess he has to go into hiding.
Damn, never expected him to fall that far. RIP marco rubibot, you tried
That's surprising, I expected to see him again with 4 years. He just seemed like the kind of guy that might show up as a forerunner in a more normal presidential race. the "I'm not going to be vice-president" too is surprising, it seemed possible that were there some shady shit at the national convention he might end up in that role.
He's probably both upset that he was beaten badly and the fact that he was beaten by Trump. Id be super disappointed with my party too if they picked trump. He might come back when the gop dies and comes back as an actual conservative party.
Not surprising when all I've heard about him is him trying to pull off wicked zings against trump and literally nothing else.
He should have dropped out before the Florida primaries. Twas' political suicide. RIP Marco, you will not be missed.
Good. Marco Rubio is unequivocally unfit for public office.
Let’s dispel once and for all with this fiction that Marco Rubio knows what he’s doing. He doesn't exactly know what he’s doing.
Jesus Christ he really took that loss hard didnt he?
More like his masters are angry they failed and they're putting all the blame on him
Damn. Him supporting the Gang of Eight really hurt him in the GOP. If he hadn't, he probably would've been a shoe in this primary.
I'm imagining a washed up Marco Rubio in a dirty apartment smoking a bong. Was there really any reason for him to drop out of politics entirely?
I'm imagining a washed up Marco Rubio in a dirty apartment smoking a bong. Was there really any reason for him to drop out of politics entirely?
He is actually quite wealthy relative to other congressmen. He will be fine.
lmao yeah I'm sure you'd do a much better job
I'm not a professional chef. That doesn't mean I can't objectively say that McDonalds' food is shit.
Christie grilling him was the beginning of the end for his career. Trump just nailed the coffin shut with the Florida primary.
BEEPBOOP "Rubio sad. This unit will return home to enjoy quaint homemakers lifestyle"WOOPBEEP
lmao yeah I'm sure you'd do a much better job
What point are you even trying to make here? That since a random guy on the internet couldn't do better in your opinion, then US Government should be saddled with the objectively bad senator that was Macro Rubio?
lmao yeah I'm sure you'd do a much better job
What a dumb thing to say.
Another tea partier crushed [editline]20th March 2016[/editline]
I'm imagining a washed up Marco Rubio in a dirty apartment smoking a bong. Was there really any reason for him to drop out of politics entirely?
He's unelectable in his home state, so that makes it really hard to continue as a career senator
Well he was already publicly saying he wasn't seeking re-election for senate. This is nothing new.
He is actually quite wealthy relative to other congressmen. He will be fine.
According to this site (http://www.cheatsheet.com/money-career/how-much-is-each-presidential-candidate-worth.html/?a=viewall), he's worth ~440k. It's a hell of a lot more than I have, but it seems a bit low for a politician's net worth.

So he definitely isn't wealthy now. My post came from reading about his beginnings as a politician when he actually started with a decent amount of wealth but he seems to have lost it. Thanks for the updated source though.

Rubio did say he finished paying off some student loans not too long ago. Bernie is at around $300,000.
lmao yeah I'm sure you'd do a much better job
Literally all he would have to do is show up and he'd do a better job
he had a lifelong career in politics subverted by some egotist asshole who just kind of showed up it's ok little marco trump will have his comeuppance
I was honestly expecting Rubio to win before I saw Trump massacring everything that got in his way.
