A spilt ruling at Georgia's Court of Appeal on 15 July reversed the invasion of privacy conviction against a Gary, after he appealed on the basis that he did not violate state law as it is written, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Someone please tell me they're doing something about this.
Someone please tell me they're doing something about this.
They probably are but I'm wondering how this doesn't fit the spirit of the invasion of privacy law.
how in the fuck
Doesn't seem like the states in the US are competent enough to make their own laws lol
Doesn't seem like the states in the US are competent enough to make their own laws lol
Almost every single governing body has legal loopholes.
Doesn't seem like the states in the US are competent enough to make their own laws lol
Meanwhile ausfags banned pepper spray, intentionally. (User was banned for this post ("Memeshit" - Novangel))
Almost every single governing body has legal loopholes.
But the US has a damn lot of them.
Meanwhile ausfags banned pepper spray, intentionally.
That's cute, at least we've banned guns and don't have terrorist attacks from disassociated white boys every week. Think you're looking for 4chan bud
Well from a legal standpoint he was well within bounds. The way there law in question was written was done poorly and without defining specifics. He did more or less get off on a technicality, since the law provides no provisions in reguards to personal privacy in public spaces. Georgia needs to come up with a new law asap.
That's cute, at least we've banned guns and don't have terrorist attacks from disassociated white boys every week.
Good for you, but why exactly go full retard and ban Pepper spray? Who exactly does that serve to save?
Not even half a fucking page in.
Good for you, but why exactly go full retard and ban Pepper spray? Who exactly does that serve to save?
Woah, woah man. I'm just saying that your government is incompetent (which they are), please don't shoot me for my opinion. I for one don't want to be in a situation involved where some chick thinks it's a good idea to pepper spray someone and then in turn pepper spray a dozen people that were in the close area. If you want to defend yourself, put your fucking keys between your fingers. Anyway, Im done debating you, you seem pretty upset. Hemorrhoid cream should help with the inflammation

I don't care if you support the ban but that's a weak line of logic there. At any rate, I'm pretty sure this ruling isn't going to last. I know people like to make fun of how backwards the South is but something like this isn't going to last long.
I'm sure smashing in the teeth of the guy caught doing that shit is legal too, eh?
Woah, woah man. I'm just saying that your government is incompetent (which they are), please don't shoot me for my opinion.
Again, every set of laws has loopholes. Stupid shit gets passed all the time around the world. Just because this is currently legal doesn't mean the law can't be fixed. Oversights in exact terminology are trivial bills that frequently get flown through the legislative bodies. You really seem to have a hateboner for America, and I'm not sure I understand why. [editline]24th July 2016[/editline]
I'm sure smashing in the teeth of the guy caught doing that shit is legal too, eh?
Why exactly would it be? Yeah, America has pretty aggressive laws around self defense, but it's not like you can just arbitrarily shoot people because they looked at you funny. Even Texas doesn't take things to that extreme.
It's amazing how in America, a common law country, that judges use such strict interpretations of the law which would otherwise only be seen in civil law countries.

Clearly common sense isn't a law...
Clearly common sense isn't a law...
It isn't, and you don't want some yahoo's idea of common sense putting you in jail, either. Imagine if some cop thought it was common sense that you shouldn't wear long sleeves with shorts and threw you in jail for your crime against fashion. That'd be bullshit because it's not against the law. The system is working. If the law doesn't say it's illegal, you can't prosecute someone for it. Fix the law.
Wow, three posts into the thread and you're already done "debating" someone.
Wasn't really a debate to begin with. I could just tell that I was gonna get banned if I kept responding to the guy. He wasn't looking for a conversation, he just wanted to get in his sick retorts, but thanks for your input?
Doesn't seem like the states in the US are competent enough to make their own laws lol
As if lawmakers actually contemplated this would happen when making the law and made a point of excluding this action from it.
Saying he didn't violate a law isn't the same as saying what he did was legal. You are innocent until proven guilty. It's on the state to prove you violated a law. What law did he violate?
how the fuck does this happen
Saying he didn't violate a law isn't the same as saying what he did was legal.
Actually I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it means.
is filming up a man's skirt legal then? curious for a friend
is filming up a man's skirt legal then? curious for a friend
perhaps in scotland
US and its laws goddamn.
Meanwhile ausfags banned pepper spray, intentionally. (User was banned for this post ("Memeshit" - Novangel))
I mean I get why he was banned because he was being ass anyway but memeshit? what. Edit: Nevermind cleared up my misunderstanding.
Land of the free [editline]24th July 2016[/editline] So what happens if you get caught, it's not secret anymore is it?
