My Mom spent the first 12 years of my life staying at home (housewife of sorts) to take care of me and my brother while my Dad went to work. Thing didn't work out and my parents split, I won't get into detail.
My Mom then had to find a job she knew of best - Cleaning (because she was a housewife, no sexism)
We were (and still are) scraping the bottom of the barrel to get by. She makes rather low income. My Mom didn't want to clean the rest of her life, because she always had an interest in computers. My Mom then went to TriOS College in our city. She graduated and has to complete a couple more certs. My mom enrolled in this "Born to Learn" program. Basically, if she wins, she will get:
