Oh no what a shock Ubisoft just gave both Microsoft and Sony the same footage, it's almost as if the game'll play the same on Xbox One as it will on the PS4 how fucking wacky is that!
It's not like they were specifically marketing it as the Xbox version, it was just titled "Watch_Dogs Gameplay Series". Plenty of games have used PC footage when they don't explicitly state that it's running on the console, for all we know they could've just uploaded whatever they were given from Ubi.

That's pretty funny, but I wouldn't take too much from this. I don't see this as "HAH THEY PROBABLY GOT PERFORMANCE ISSUES XBONE IS FUCKED". Ubisoft has pretty consistently partnered with Sony for exclusive content shit and usually releases gameplay videos on PS3/PS4.
To me, this is the equivalent of Microsoft re-uploading the GTA V gameplay trailer but with the PS3 buttons censored out. Even though Rockstar only showed off PS3 footage, both versions of GTA V were pretty consistent.

To better represent the product perhaps? Showing something from a different product and pretending it's the product you are meant to be advertising is false advertisement of the product, even if the end result looks damn near identical. If it's just advertising Watch Dogs, then it's not a problem, but if it claims to be XOne gameplay or whatever, then it's false advertisement.

nah, because apparently something as trivial as "publisher recorded footage of their multiplat game, gave to sony/MS, forgot to hide the button prompts at exactly 1:37 for a quarter of a second" is breaking news.
