Capcom Address SFxT Issues On Why Local Co-op Feature Doesn’t Work Online For Xbox 360

Looks like Capcom were sugar-coating it at first with some bs response about the difficulties surrounding implementing the local co-op feature online for the Xbox 360. After being debunked minutes after the response was sent by Capcom, since many other titles have offered the same feature without a problem, they [Capcom] have decided to hit us with a newer response. As fate would have it, the feature was deliberately not added to meet deadlines for release. Hello Street Fighter X Tekken players, this is Ayano again.
First of all, we want to thank our fans for all of the support and positive comments we’ve received since Street Fighter X Tekken was released last week. We are extremely proud of the game… it was a huge undertaking for us all and it makes us happy to know that so many players are enjoying our game.
Secondly, we’ve been asked by some players of the Xbox 360 version about the 4-player co-op mode and why it doesn’t work when two players team up (locally) and attempt to play online. Unfortunately, due to time and resource issues, we weren’t able to get that feature into the Xbox 360 version and we apologize to those players who were looking forward to it. Throughout the development process, there are times when new features are added (and we added a lot of them!) and there are also times where we have to make tough decisions regarding things to cut. This was one of those times. This mode is supported in the PlayStation 3 version, however, since we tackled that earlier and found the architecture of their system to be more conducive to implementing it. This is the most content we’ve ever packed into a Street Fighter game, so we hope that there are plenty of other modes and features to keep everyone busy for a long time.
With that said, we have some information regarding new updates for Street Fighter X Tekkencoming up soon, so we’ll keep you posted!
That’s it for now. Thank you again for your continued support… keep enjoying the game and providing us with feedback.
See you all again in my next blog!
Will it be patched? I hope so.

I really don't see why it matters. If it's a fighting game and its local, when it's their turn they can just pass the controller.
I guess people have specific controls set?

It's a tag-team fighting game, bromo.
$15 DLC, I'm calling it.
Mortal Kombat did it and it worked just fine.
You could also play online with friends on the same console in Call Of Duty 3.

We understand that....

maybe some people didnt?
As long as it gets fixed through a patch, no big deal
They put the function in the PS3 just fine, didn't they?
They finished the ps3 version earlier than they did the 360 version, that's why they didn't have enough time. As for a patch, they already said it wasn't coming.
Super/Ultimate Street Fighter X Tekken feature
That's a real big pity, I just hope they fix it and not do what they normally do!
At least I got the PS3 version, so it's fine for me.
There won't be a Super Ultra whatever edition. Capcom had to promise that for Namco to go through with the project. That's why you have all of the DLC nicely tucked away on the disc! Isn't capcpom just thoughtful!
