Tell me more Max Payne!
The game=heroes/tv=Bad guys concept is interesting. Hopefully they won't combine the two too much and start adding plot elements that don't make sense unless we've watched the TV show or vice versa.
Max Payne sure sobbered up since 3.
I don't know they barely show any gameplay in all of their trailers. I'll wait to see more but I have a feeling this is going to look real good but have terrible gameplay with lots of QTEs...

Amazing for this game

They actually showed quite a bit of gameplay in the end.. but yep, it's a teaser.
Anyway it looks alright. They sure know what they're going for, or what kinda 'video game product' they are offering.
I love you to death Sam, but this live action gimmick thing is putting me off. I loved Remedy's other games because of their storytelling within the limits of the medium. They told an amazing story without ever not still feeling like a fun videogame, and his amazing writing and lore building was a huge part of that.
He includes so many little hidden and subtle elements to the story telling such as all the weird coincidental comparisons to several aspects of Max's story throughout all the different TV shows there were and how they tied into the game was brilliant. And not to mention just absolutely amazing internal dialogue that always keeps you wanting to play more to see what else happens to the character.
I mean I can see how Sam has probably always wanted to do some high budget writing for a live action thing, but I am just thinking he should have done that without having to worry about a videogame at the same time. I just hope they don't focus on one more than the other and keep a balance of quality.
where is my alan wake sequel, remedy??
I really hate stuff like this when they film live action and re-record the voice in post production but poorly sync it. It looks and sounds so fucking odd.
The game on the other hands looks like it could be aight.
Looks like how Watchdogs started.

Speaking of that, Max Payne 2 >>> Max Payne 3
Xbox one exclusive?
Have a ton of faith in this; Sam Lake is one of my favorite writers and he never fails to disappoint. I just hope he writes a bit for the TV show too, even if it's just an episode here or there.
Heh, I assume his accent made edgy sound like ecchi :v:

yeah
now that they are showing bits of gameplay it actually looks really cool.
im now kinda sad. butt ill wait for reviews and the release before i judge, no one can be to sure anymore these days.
Now I don't know anything about this guy, or the team making this, but it makes me thing of a David Cage game done competently and with move involved gameplay.
And that's not as damning as it sounds. I despise Cage's games, but at the very least some of his concept were neat. So having another "cinematic experience" game on the table made by someone better is a good thing. Not sure how I feel about the game/tv thing, but it looks interesting. Not that I have an Xbone, but still.

I can see that comparison, but Sam Lake is a total bro and a very very talented writer unlike David Cage. So there is still hope, but I just don't like live action aspect of it at all.
Time mechanics? I'll buy it.
Xbox one exclusive? Are you kidding me? Guess I'm not buying it then.

it will come to PC eventually since iirc they aren't first party devs, and microsoft doesn't own the ip (or do they?)
its just a matter of waiting for the contract to run out
