Well, that is slightly troubling. Hopefully China steps in and does something about them before NK does something rash.

The sensor (in Japan) probably detected radiation from nuclear reactors (in Japan) as opposed to radiation from the nuclear test (in Korea)

It seems you are indeed correct..
Nature have edited an article formally titled: "[I]Correction: Sensors pick up North Korean radioactivity.[/I]" after being informed that it was an incomplete and faulty analysis.
