In the recent months youtube has made a new view counter system.
The system freezes views if someone spams the video meaning they are trying to combat spammers or people who try to boost their views using a script.
The problem is, this system is really fault... and it freezes or stops the view counts of videos of people who did not do this, making even the greatest of content staying at 302 views and have 1,000+ 5 star ratings.
This has recently happened to me, i have two videos stuck on 301 302 and 306 been their for 2-3 months one for 5 days, and I got 1,000 views on a facepunch thread for it, so... if youtube system is working then that means 700 facepuncher's go into a thread and don't read or watch the thread....
Or that somehow a video can get 1,000 ratings but stay merely on 302 views.. some people say wait for it to update, it will take a hour or a day.
The problem is, I have seen videos/had videos stay stuck at 302 with ratings HIGHER than the view count for MONTHS.
Youtube has not admitted to this mistake and has no taken any action to fix it.
So if anyone has had this happen please post, and if you know any way of combating this... stupid system youtube has put up please share..

Wouldn't this make big time videos which are shared a lot instantly frozen?
Only reason why I still use youtube is because I haven't picked where to put my newer videos yet.
I wouldn't use Youtube if it didn't have all the videos I watch, but it does. Until other sites have all the videos I want to see, I'll stay with it.

No youtube just sucks... it has long loading times, and faulty systems, if you read the damn thread you understand how it has a fault.

Content goes un-noticed if view counts are low, so lets say War of the server got frozen at 302 views.
Chances are it wouldn't be found on youtube much more.
Youtube shows videos in search by rating and view count.
So higher view counter/ratings the more your content gets out their meaning peoples videos who get frozen at 302 views, their work goes to waste seeing their video falls deep into the pit of cyberspace... where 4chan is....

I read the thread, the only thing you where complaining about was the view count.
Everyone complains about long loading times, but I've never had that happen. Everything loads really well, and I only have DSL.
Faulty systems? The only thing I really don't like is the new insight. Old one was better/easier.

I don't like Insight either but at least insight doesn't make your content go more un-noticed, so if this happens to you, you feel like you wasted your time.

If it's good, people will still share it, but I agree, some videos won't get noticed.

My views freeze all the time. They never get over 350. Not for several months. I'm just lucky I got 25 videos with over 1,000 views.
