New room - Looking for minimalist furniture and artwork.

Recently my house has had a large extension which includes a new room for myself, so I will not be having to share a room with my brother anymore.
All the work on the room will be completed tomorrow, so I will be needing furniture, artwork, etc.
I have already decided on painting the room a pure white, and I have also acquired the following:
- Ikea Galant corner desk (oak finish).
- A modern black leather recliner chair (and also a cream one which I probably won't use).
- Philips Living Colours remote controlled LED mood lamp.
Suggestions furniture such as beds, wardrobes, blinds which would fit into a minimalist/semi-minimalist theme.
Any artwork recommendations would also be extremely useful. My budget is around £500, excluding the things I have already bought.
Here are a few items I am considering:

Celing lamp: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00055691

I have the entire Ikea Malm collection. It's somewhat minimalist.
Just get a huge white canvas and paint a dot in the center. That's pretty damn minimalist.

PS I'm sorry but that is one small, ugly bed you're looking at there.
I've always liked how Ikea furniture looks, but let's be honest.
It's kinda cheap furniture. It can't take alot.

Exactly this. Make sure you get a mousepad for your desk. I wasn't using one for about 3 months and it wore out the black coloring on my EXPEDIT desk. Also, I prefer the black-brown colors. They look nice, but they show dust very easily. The plus side to it is that you can color in small scratches with a sharpie.
Not all Ikea furniture is 'cheap'. Some of their couches and rugs can be quite expensive and the more expensive ones are (obviously) better made.
I've ordered the furniture now, different stuff than in the OP. So could I get some artwork suggestions?
For artwork you should just go to some thrift stores, there's some nice stuff that's hand painted rather than a print. Of course it's not going to be some known guy since it's likely just something someone made then was thrown out to Goodwill, but it looks great having actual painted stuff, unless of course you're just planning on buying some posters or something.
I've filled my room with a huge shelf system thang, and I got a bunch of metal hammer shafts and so on strewn around. Got my wall filled with pictures and drawings made by my sister, including an awesome interview in a local paper of my bro.
My room used to be just.. Blank.
So take your time and you'll see what it gets filled with.
So I just put the carpets in and was one tile short, woops:

My wardrobe will be on top of it so it doesn't matter.

Fixing the dodgy bits tomorrow and assembling the furniture.
Why would you put in carpeting :gonk:
Seriously, though, just switched from carpeting to laminate in my house and my god it's a million times better.
Because the carpet seems to fit well in this room (cant see with the images) and is cheaper.
You use an industrial glue/carpet on your concrete flooring?

I used to have some really big canvases that I painted solid blue and hung on the wall.
One light blue, one medium blue, and one dark blue.
It was easier than painting the walls, and I could re-paint them different colors when I wanted a change instead of having to re-paint a whole wall.
Worked out really great, and I was able to take them with me to use when I moved to an apartment.
Here is the room atm, suggestions?:

good god, prison cells are bigger than that and come with a toilet
Keep in mind there is another half of the room behind me in that photo, and the blinds are up now.

It's just narrow. Not all that small.
Plus it is better to have a small room of your own than a shared room.
There is no good way to masturbate in a shared bedroom.
