I don’t know why, but it is what it is. I already know I’ve got the target on my back, but I’ll play through it; I don’t care. I really don’t. It doesn’t bother me none. If I get a call, I get a call. If I don’t, I don’t. If I get a tech, hopefully it’s not in the fourth quarter. Hopefully I don’t get any more. But I know I will. It’s nothing new for me.” Denver’s Nate Robinson said that about NBA officials after picking up a technical foul in a game against the Knicks last Friday. Friday Robinson picked up a $25,000 fine from the league for his comments.
We don't hate you, here's a $25k fine for saying that. I don't know whether to rate this funny or hearts.
Kind of crazy how between the NBA and NFL, for penalties or comments like these or what have you, their fines are slaps on the wrist and is more than some of us make in a year.
If it wasn't for us you would be dealing crack like the rest of your scummy people. Now shut up, play ball and make me money! -Exceptionally Racist NBA Executive Honestly, that's a pretty harsh penalty for complaining about the people above you.

Who cares if he lost 25k? He probably makes 5x more a year in the first place.

Nate Robinson is hilarious. Watching him dunk, oh man.
For some reason I thought it said NSA and thought "damn that's some police state shit there"
Even the worst players make half a million a year, while the big shots that we all know make around 25 million a year
Is the wording of this off? is it a 25k deduction from his pay or a 25k fine It seems VERY bizarre to me that a sporting body with no legal power can fine someone and force them to make restitution from their own money. Then again Ive seen sporting bodies do borderline illegal shit all the time so idk

I'm sure he has a 100% choice to not pay the fine, if he doesn't it will affect his standing with the NBA and ability to play.
Nate's in a bit of a tough position as an NBA player. He plays with emotion, and a lot of his plays and his value as a player come from that, but if he keeps taking things to heart like this he's going to get traded to yet another team.
I don't understand why on earth you would get fined for that. "Undermines integrity" seems to be code for "I DON'T LIKE YOUR OPINIONS!!!"
Sports does this shit all the time. NFL is more for endangering other players. NBA does shit just completely bizarre though. They will fine guys for just disagreeing with them because it breaks their "policy".
I'm not sure why but I immediately thought of those cheesy "Doctors hate them!" ads when I read the title. "NBA hates him! Learn how to owe up to $25,000 in fines in just an easy 1 sentence!"

For some reason I read the title as "Nate Robinson says the NSA hates him"
Looks leike he was right
denver's my favorite team and his addition in the off season was great. yeah sometimes he gets some shitty calls but i saw them play the sixers this weekend and he was getting every call left and right so it's 50-50
