Electronic Arts will not have a booth at E3 2016. Instead, the publisher announced EA Play 2016, a new event open to the public set to take place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles between June 12 and 14, as well as at The Mermaid in London on June 12.
The publisher will still host its annual press conference. However, rather than take place at its normal time—the Monday before E3—it will be held on Sunday, June 12 at 1 p.m. PT / 4:00 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. GMT.
E3 2016 runs from June 14 to 16 at the Los Angles Convention Center located next door to the Nokia Theater.
“Our players are the driving force behind everything we do,” Electronic Arts said in a statement. “So this summer, we’re opening up our world to you with unique new live events in Los Angeles and London. We’ll bring the new games, we’ll bring the demos, we’ll bring the competition…and you get to go hands-on. Or join us online and immerse yourself to experience some of our biggest games of the year. Let’s live to play together.”
more money
EA's E3 Show will probably just be a showcase of Pay to win games or DLC
Oh God. The E3 parody videos are gonna be the funniest yet.
Maybe this will be more akward than the all the Kinect presentations combined

But I love Monday being conference clusterfuck central, it's kind of exciting (except the Sony conference which is always at 2am in the UK, fuck the Sony conference)
Pay to enter, pay to grab a seat, pay for each minute of content they display.

The Pay 2 Play conference DLC so you can try upcoming games.
Battlefield 2016 Announcement, ho!
Or maybe they'll call it 2017.
Can't wait until Ubisoft does the same, and they just fill a building with memes.

So they're trying to go the route of Nintendo and Bethesda's last E3 by having a more unique format, but in the most pointless way that only comes across as pulling itself from the expo as a whole??
Feels like they're grasping for the spotlight too hard.
They better be showing a WW1 or WW2 Battlefield, or they can get their bags packing!

Ubisoft will construct a whole new building out of girl wood.
-snip, wrong company lol-
The one in London is next to Blackfriars, neat.
give us more info on Mass Effect Andromeda and I will be happy,.
open to the public
if the press conference is open to the public, hilarity will be had
Why? Origin is already a stupid as hell idea, why the hell would they waste the time and money to put on their own conference where nobody is invited?
Announce Skate 4 already you fuckers
~LIVING MEMES~
it'd be like a living, physical form of dank memes
I kinda want to go, but then I realize that I have to wait in a 5-8 hour line to play an upcoming game for 20 minutes.
ya but what upcomming EA games are there that are worth sitting around 5-8 hours to play? its not like they have anything original anymore
How is Origin a stupid idea? It does quite a few things better than Steam.
It's stupid because they're limited to just publishing their own IPs, which is Battlefield, Need for Speed, and 140 pieces of Sims DLC.
What does it do better than Steam?
I never understood the appeal behind some conventions. You pay a few hundred dollars (or more depending on your sleeping arrangements), and for some cons you spend most of your time waiting in line to play a game 1 year early for 20 mins.
I guess I'm not a huge videogame fan anymore like I was when I was a teenager, but the only confirmed game Im looking forward to is Mirror's edge 2, which I hope is really good.
I hope they announce TimeSplitters 4
I can't wait for a hour of Pele talks
Oh God. The E3 parody videos are gonna be the funniest yet.
"The EA Parody... no wait we meant The E3 Parody"
They'll probably announce the upcoming Battlefront DLCs
Or BF5 or someshit
