Fun starts 54 seconds in.
Basically in order to prevent service interruption while renovating, they built the new underground train track underneath the existing one. Then when the time came to switch to the new rails, they had to take apart the train station platform and rails, then reconnect them to the new underground railway.
Done with 0 service interruption or delay, in 3 hours 25 minutes.

In my city, you would have 1 guy working on it, 4 standing around doing nothing, and it would take at least a month.

Chinese beats them in construction, they have 24 hour nonstop building with shifts for the workers that can build a 30 story building in 15 days. Meanwhile it took my city two fucking years to build an overpass for a highway.

bridge connecting the south shore of montreal to the island has been under construction/maintenance almost non stop for like 20 years. the apparent solution to fixing a fucking hole in the bridge is by dumping a load of asphalte on it and hoping it wont form again in the same spot
