I'm moving to england from the United States, now now, I love the U.S.A and am proud to be an American, but I'm sick of the government and the oil spill and all that shit. Does anyone have some benefits to moving to the U.K? [besides Facepunch Camp-Out 2011]
Free healthcare.

But I would certainly go back to the Uk to work again. They know how to live.
It has a different atmosphere. Its quite peaceful here, especially in the countryside. But more importantly, everything is local. One of my American friends told me of how it takes a long time to reach most major shopping areas in the USA. While most stuff in England is pretty close and local, so you don't have to go far to get what you need. The south areas near the coast are probably the nicest.
-snip- them boxes make me cry

England is just flat and bland in comparison. :scotland:
I know you were asking for benefits, but my god is their food terrible. Waiting for an huge influx of disagrees coming from Brits.
The internet is shit. Unless you get fibre. Which you still get ripped off for anyway. And there's that digital economy bill.
I know you was asking for benefits, but my god is their food terrible.
:colbert: Nothing wrong with British food.
Free healthcare, hooray! Everything isn't that far away, compared to America at least. Living in a city like London (where I live) is dirty, dangerous and far too expensive. The countryside is great if you can live without big easy shopping centres and such. I recommend living somewhere in the middle.
Dave, just get free view and after 9 PM it's nothing but great comedy panel shows and stand up, comedy in England is generally great
Hopefully no one will be big dickheads to you and make fun of you "accent".
Brilliant comedy.
Chaps are kind people that will gladly aid you in your arrival by taking care of your things in order to make you feel lighter and will give you red flowers with 5 petals to put in your face
If you want good TV, get Sky, not Virgin.
Dave, just get free view and after 9 PM it's nothing but great comedy panel shows and stand up, comedy in England is generally great
And the same Top Gear episode repeated 3 times a day.

Also we have beers that are 50% alcohol so welcome to the land of alcoholics. ...Scotland and Ireland I mean. Also Glasgow is a bad idea we tend not to like the English.
And the same Top Gear episode repeated 3 times a day.
Dave is meh during the day but at night it's great comedy after great comedy
Dave is meh during the day but at night it's great comedy after great comedy
Can't beat some Mock The Week.
Go to Greggs, it's great. Also, watch out for chavs.
You probably already do know but make sure you know the difference between England, Britain and the UK before you move here. Or at least just England and the other two.
Free healthcare. Better weather IMO Better food than Australia IMO (try an Australian Mars bar, then try an English, it may be the same with America's chocolate) I'd prefer England over Australia.. my two cents.
Scotland being just North is enough reason to move to England. :scotland:
Great being in the land of northern kings :coolfish:
The internet is shit. Unless you get fibre. Which you still get ripped off for anyway. The RIAA just shows up with a bill, at least here you get a warning if they're on to your Linux distros.
also eat fish and chips
We do the best fish and chips. :buddy:
Summer has really nice weather, not too hot, but really nice. Although recently it's been pretty wet. But not cold.
