You're thinking way too hard, just chill out.

Get a pipe too, that way you can go as slow as you want and you don't have to worry about wasting the weed.

You're right I suppose, thanks.
And I'd get a pipe (I heard the smoke was harsh though, is that true? I don't mind that though, just curious) but I'm going away for summer and I'd have to stash it in my apartment and that's too risky as 1) There's not really anywhere safe to hide it 2) my Landlord is coming to refurbish the place over the summer and the last thing I'd want is him stumbling upon the pipe and 3) parents and family stay over during summer.
I'll be buying a pipe next year when I'll be in college all year so I can hide it easily.
The pipe smoke is a bit harsher but you'd get used to it in less than a week probly.
If you're so worried about people finding your pipe, you could also get a stealth pipe or whatever, like one of those metal folding ones (although the smoke would be even harsher I'd imagine).
a glass pipe hits the smoothest and they can get very small which will help you hide it. Avoid metal since thats the harshest.
For your panic attacks, labelling theory can help you. I have been coping with anxiety for a month or so, and being a psych student and seeing a psychologist has really helped me control it. One very important lesson was learning to label what you perceive.
Lets say you wake up one day and suddenly start crying. you would think there is something wrong with you since you know there is nothing to be sad or upset about. However, if you were crying at a funeral, you would tell yourself that this is totally understandable and that there is nothing wrong with you, there is a reason for the emotion. How does this apply to you? High concentrations of THC causes high blood pressure and increases your heart rate. Not many smokers know this, so when they feel this kick in, they dont think its the weed and start to freak out. Its perfectly normal for your body to respond that way under the effects of THC. Your panic attacks probably was you feeling the high bp and heart rate and labeling it as a panic attack. If you label it as 'this is happening because of the weed' then you accept and understand what your body is feeling and doing and you move past it, avoiding escalation into a panic or anxiety attack.
hope this helps, good luck and remember theres nothing wrong when you are feeling your heart pound, its just the weed and its perfectly normal.

I'll buy a mini glass pipe then I guess :) Thanks man.

That's some really good advice, I appreciate it. Will definitely remember this and I'm sure this will work, because what you described is exactly what I do. I label the heart beat as a panic attack, rather than as an effect of smoking weed.
It could be green fever. my brother's had it before and he felt really weird and anxious and w/e. but When I'm alone i feel really paranoid, maybe smoke with friends?

When I smoke alone, I actually tend to feel safer. When I'm with friends, sometimes they'll act weird or just freak me out so I prefer smoking alone unless the group of friends I'm getting high with are chill.
Plans for today are to hopefully watch some Cosmos and marvel at the grandiose nature of the universe.
Might I suggest getting a small glass bubbler? It's essentially a pipe with a chamber underneath the bowl where you can put a bit of water in for smoother hits than if you did it straight smoke. Also play some of your favorite music while blazing. Preferably something soothing or whatever floats your boat.
Looking back, the reasons why I've had them are clear: being in an uncomfortable place (ie out in public), smoking way too much for a rookie, doing gravity bong hits (definitely not ready for that shit!). So it makes sense why I've become panicked and freaked out. I know it's not because I'm predisposed to having panic attacks.
Common side effect my man, especially if you've got any mental issues like me. I only feel comfortable smoking weed at my house, and I can smoke gram after gram with no worries. If I'm at a mates house, I'll rip two bongs and feel like I'm going on a whitey all night. Never actually do, I just feel like I'm gonna puke my guts up.
As soon as I get home, I pack myself the fattest bong and rip one after the other and I'm fine. I only really hit bongs as well, so I've got experience.
I hate being this way, but my anxiousness get the better of me. Sounds like yours does the same.

Yeah, I'm anxious in a cautious sort of way. I can't help but come up with scenarios in my head that I feel I wouldn't be able to handle whilst high, be it fights, arguments, quick decisions etc.
When I'm at home, I know I won't be disturbed, so I feel safe. I also know that if anything goes wrong, I can just lie down in bed for as long as I want. If I'm at a friends house, I know sooner or later I'll have to move from lying down and it isn't a nice feeling.
Anyways, was high yesterday and the night before. Indica bud isn't my thing, hopefully going to pick up some sativa today :) Anxiety from smoking has shot right down because I'm learning to control things. I know now that when the high hits me, I should just go with it and enjoy it, rather than fighting it or worrying about it.
Just couch-lock, fuck that. I don't like it haha
I never realized how anxious I am when smoking around others until I finally had sessions alone in the comfort of my own room. It's complete bliss, and I don't have inconveniences some smoke buddies carry. On top of that, my only problem is my parents lurking around, but that itself isn't stressful as long as I follow the typical room-detox procedures.
Oh, and I find pipes to be the most convenient for alone, secret sessions. They're small for hiding; the smoke's easily adaptable; and the occasional cleaning isn't difficult.
I would suggest getting high in small amounts over a period of about an hour. If you are feeling anxious when you are coming up, then you should take it slower. It's easier to get stuck on thinking about the effects when the high hits you all at once.
A good strategy is to just get prepared, chill on the couch, have a drink nearby. Take a hit or two, then put it down. Get distracted with something, like videos. Just browse or play a game. You have your own place now, so there's no need to smoke the whole thing at once and have to put it away. Once you are high, just take a hit(s) every time you want a little more buzz.
Once you master this, you will feel much more in control of your high. Not too much, and not too little. Just like Goldilocks.

Haha what a great piece of advice. I gotta say, I did this technique when I was smoking and it definitely worked. I found once I reached a good level of high, with all the euphoria and contentment, it was much easier to smoke and keep chill about everything. Also, having an awesome drink (Bob Marley drink, it's like a fizzy drink with awesome flavours like mango, passion fruit, so delicious when chilled) and a great ice lolly (those rocket ones, fuck yeah!) are great for cottonmouth, and the ice-cold feeling of them is surreal.
I had a great couple of days, just a shame I had indica and not sativa. Felt like it was a bit of a waste being couchlocked all that time. Cheers for the advice buddy :)
