GENDER EQUALITY!!! MORAL AMBIGUITY!!! WOW MUCH MEMES VERY REGRET!!!!!!!!!
I just started playing Borderlands 2, and I have to say this looks fun.
Wilhelm looks like it could be a really boring class tbh. And i really hope Mister Torgue doesn't talk very much ingame, cause he is really annoying.
Holy fuck, they acknowledged that all those memes were a mistake.
Holy fuck, they acknowledged that all those memes were a mistake.
I wonder what new epic memes this new game will bring around for the kids to yell?
LASER SHOTGUNS??? IM SOLD.
wow that was trying a bit hard
Athena looks like the most fun character.
I like the fact that they are making the characters more chatty, but I really hope there is a separate volume slider for claptrap.
The new mechanics certainly look fun
Still stuck choosing between Wilhelm and Nisha.
Why does everyone hate Claptrap?
Looks like they didn't fix any of the major gameplay issues from Borderlands 2 and instead reduced the gravity slider and added a few new guns.
Question, what gameplay issues? I've played that game for many hours and haven't really spotted any.
Holy fuck, they acknowledged that all those memes were a mistake.
But they still hasn't dropped "OH MY GOD SCREAMING XD" [editline]18th September 2014[/editline] Also this trailer tries to hard to appeal to kids. because everyone sure loves funny stock explosions and screaming right?
Why does everyone hate Claptrap?
Because he is a deliberately annoying character.
I like the fact that they are making the characters more chatty, but I really hope there is a separate volume slider for claptrap.
I wish there will be no volume slider on him, and that he gets text-to-speech!
is this supposed to be an expansion or something because it looks EXACTLY the same as borderlands 2
The damage curve was all kinds of fucked up compared to Borderlands 1, a lot of weapons were basically useless. A lot of the abilities on some characters were superfluous and pointless, and didn't really change up gameplay, whereas others were op as fuck. Zero and Axton, for example, was competely useless compared to the other starting characters (although Axton becomes usefull endgame), which were in turn outclassed by the DLC characters which became the most OP motherfuckers known to man. Despite this, combat was samey with very little need for anything resembling tactics, boss fights were grindathons, the game's humor fell flat constantly and any semblance of tone or atmosphere was crushed under a barrage of "OMG SO RANDOM" humor, far moreso than borderlands 1 which managed a good balance of dark comedy and tone, whereas BL2 was just full on "OMG SO RANDOM" constantly to the point of being utterly fatiguing. Endgame was weak as fuck, as you hit higher levels, the difference between enemies became a matter of "Hey, is he a higher level than you? If so, you can't kill him" because of the quadratic levelling going on, an issue which BL1 didn't really have, and the game was just so fucking boring. The core gameplay is identical from the first hour of the game to the final one, it's just straight forward shooting, but not in the way that Painkiller, Quake 1 or, fuck, even Bulletstorm managed. Whereas those games had setpiece moments or weapons, borderlands has the most static environments i've seen in a game of its type. It felt like an mmo shooter with 4 players instead of hundreds, and the lack of variation in quests really sold it to me. All in all, boring weapons, boring characters, boring gameplay. They put so much shit into the game and got it to come out tasting of nothing.
The music was pretty good at least.
i couldnt even watch the whole thing because torques voice
Imagine what this game and Borderlands 2 could've been if they didn't go with the RANDUM LOL humour, but a more serious dark humour.
It looks fun. I did enjoy Borderlands 2 apart from the writing. I'm not so sure this is worth paying full price for though. Might as well wait until the inevitable christmas sale.
Imagine what this game and Borderlands 2 could've been if they didn't go with the RANDUM LOL humour, but a more serious dark humour.
An MMO-esque grindfest with slightly better writing?
1. Zero is nowhere near useless, especially at endgame. He has a slow start until Execute but not useless. 2. How in the world can you say that Gaige and Krieg are the most OP classes, when Salvador exists? He is literally more powerful than everyone else combined.
Looks very fun Imo, especially with friends , I just hope we get some more vehicles than the last time
wow that was trying a bit hard
Not only that but some of the info given just screams Burch is trying to tell us how much he improved.
And I enjoy the Resident Evil movies, that doesn't mean they aren't fucking awful films. It's possible to enjoy something you know is bad, and hate something you know is good.
I can think of one other thing with atrocious writing you love. :v:
You need right loot for Zero to be useful. With something like Love Thumper and Rubi you can easily wreck havok solo on 72 level (or OP8). Law and Order for coop.
To be totally fair, the level scaling did get totally fucked during the endgame when the only people who didn't get instantly downed by enemies were players wearing the Sham absorption shield, and people who invested nearly everything into health. Also Gaige and Kreig isn't OP in comparison to the other characters. I don't know where you got that idea. Hell Zer0 can be better than Kreig in some instances. The only character who was underpowered was Maya who was forced to rely on the dumb Bee-Hawk Combo to do anything in the OP Levels. The only thing she was good at was quick ressing everyone.
