[release] TEHRAN - Iran will target NATO's missile shield in neighboring Turkey if it is threatened by military action, the commander of the aerospace division of the Revolutionary Guards said Nov. 26. "We are prepared to first target the NATO defense missile shield in Turkey if we are threatened. And then we'll move on to other targets," Amir-Ali Hajizadeh was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency. Speculation has intensified in Israel that it was preparing air strikes on Iran to hit nuclear facilities following a Nov. 8 report by the U.N. nuclear watchdog strongly suggesting Tehran was researching atomic weapons. Hajizadeh, whose unit is in charge of Revolutionary Guards' missile systems, told a crowd of Basij militia members in the western city of Khorramabad that Iran's stance now was to "threaten in the face of threats," in line with a decree this month by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Turkey last year agreed to host an early warning radar system in its southeast as part of NATO's shield which the United States says is aimed at thwarting missile threats from the Middle East, particularly Iran. Hajizadeh said Nov. 21 that the Revolutionary Guards' "greatest wish" was for Israel to attack Iran, so they could retaliate and relegate the Jewish state to "the dustbin of history."[/release] http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?i=8376682&c=MID&s=TOP They wouldn't dare.
Alot of threats lately...
Alot of threats lately...
It's all normal... This shit happens every year.
Oh fuck. Shit is going to go down. We are all screwed the second the first missile is fired. Iran, Israel, Central Europe and the US are all going to have a massive freaking war before too long.
Iran vs US, Europe and Israel? Don't see that war lasting long.
Iran is all... Fire at me and I'll fire back Well... I would hope so, wouldn't any country do that? Iran would just have a massive aerial campaign against it to take out as many military targets as fast as we can and that's it. Kind of a Physical shut the fuck up, if you will. No Boots on the ground or anything like that, so I say if Iran wants to step in the shit, let them. What are they going to do then? Threaten to Nuke a country near them instead of the US or UK? Sure Iran, take a country hostage, that'll really make you popular with the world
Why can't people just leave our shield alone and instead of threatening to blow ours up, just make their own. I'd rather have a ton of anti-icbm missile shields than a ton of nukes pointing at eachother.
It's all normal... This shit happens every year.
Not on a large scale like this year has been. Sure it hopefully will end with just dick waves but on a long enough timeline something is bound to pop off

Currently the shield destabilizes the balance of power, so now every major player will need to invest in an expensive missile defense shield.

I don't mind if someone builds a bigger wall around their house.
There's probably a general just waiting for Iran to do something, so they can give the order to launch the planet-cracker.
I see what you're saying but I just don't agree. I don't mind if someone builds a bigger wall around their house.
When that wall includes European airspace, then it can be offensive. This isn't the way to handle this.
i find it increasingly hard to take iran seriously. it's like that fat kid back in elementary school that is always telling you how hard he's gonna beat you up one day but never does it.
i find it increasingly hard to take iran seriously. it's like that fat kid back in elementary school that is always telling you how hard he's gonna beat you up one day but never does it.
But he's also crazy enough that if you push him, he'll do it, then get the shit kicked out of him.
Iran vs US, Europe and Israel? Don't see that war lasting long.
Oh shit, Iran will rule us all.

The metaphor is to state that if you screw him over he'll make sure you get screwed over too. [editline]29th November 2011[/editline]
Iran vs US, Europe and Israel? If anything happens, Welcome to Glassiran. Population 0.
Iran vs US, Europe and Israel? Don't see that war lasting long.
You're right, we don't stand a chance!
He implied Europe would be involved in the war
Technically stands if Turkey is counted as Europe.
Technically stands if Turkey is counted as Europe.
Isn't only a tiny part of Turkey part of Europe
Isn't only a tiny part of Turkey part of Europe
The radar will be located in the Middle-eastern part of turkey.
Oh shit, Iran will rule us all.
BREAKING NEWS: Iranian Army, finally reaches Oslo, after somehow bulldozing through the entire European continent. The invasion force consists of 30 exhausted, battered men, five broken down tanks, one decent condition APC, and a F-14 low on fuel.
Hey look it's ARMA3's plot!
Iran vs US, Europe and Israel? Don't see that war lasting long.
Iraq vs US, Europe and Nato. Don't see that wa... wait. Afghanistan vs US, Europe and Nato. Don't see that wa... wait. [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] The last thing this world and especially US needs is another war in the middle east.

[editline]29th November 2011[/editline] The last thing this world and especially US needs is another war in the middle east.
I wouldn't say those wars lasted long, really. The real military was beaten in a relatively short time. An insurgency is another matter.
I wouldn't say those wars lasted long, really. The real military was beaten in a relatively short time. An insurgency is another matter.
"Wiping" out its army may have taken a very short time, but the war is still going on.
Also it would be just US and Israel vs. Iran cause Europe is getting really annoyed at Americas antics.
Yep thats why only the US has placed sanctions on Iran, right?

[editline]29th November 2011[/editline] The last thing this world and especially US needs is another war in the middle east.
Uh actually it wasn't that simple with Afghanistan, we were basically fighting the Taliban in the invasion stages, and we were allied with the Northern Alliance (United Islamic Front).
Alot of threats lately...
And just in time for the holidays too.
