Several surveysshow that about 70 percent of women rate Trump unfavorably. And recent polls by CBS and CNN both suggest that he could lose female voters to Democrat Hillary Clinton by at least 25 percentage points in November.

In fact, the percentage of women who rated Trump very unfavorably in YouGov’s biweekly surveys has increased significantly — from around 45 percent in January to nearly 60 percent by the end of April. Meanwhile, the percentage of men who rated Trump very unfavorably hasn’t really changed.
In other words, he's fucked.
I wonder if Trump ever thought he'd make it this far, by this point he should have a good idea of how poor his chances are at winning the general election.
I wonder if Trump ever thought he'd make it this far, by this point he should have a good idea of how poor his chances are at winning the general election.
To be fair he has caused upset after upset. He literally bullied a Bush out of the race for the nomination, beat several candidates in their home states, caused every other establishment candidate to quit the race, and beat the RNC's last-ditch attempt, in the form of Cruz and Kasich, to fight against him.
I think everyone should remind themselves that Trump was expected to lose early on because of his near 50% unfavorable rating and it didn't mean anything. I get that the general election voterbase is much more diverse than the GOP voterbase but he has proven everyone wrong repeatedly.
He's apparently trying to mend things up with Megyn Kelly (no idea when the full interview will be released), my guess is in an effort to try and repair his image with women. I expect him to make more steps to mend his shitty image with women.

Its a shame that someone wanting to represent women in opposite to Trump is just as much a whore as he is.
didn't he try to do that already
I don't know, but now its actually happening.

Some people just want to watch the (USA) burn
I think everyone should remind themselves that Trump was expected to lose early on because of his near 50% unfavorable rating and it didn't mean anything. I get that the general election voterbase is much more diverse than the GOP voterbase but he has proven everyone wrong repeatedly.
The difference is that back then, all the polls were showing Trump in the lead and we knew that he was ahead. We were just expecting that his support would decline by the time the actual primaries happened. What we were surprised to find was that he was able to maintain his lead and carry it through to a victory. This time, the polls are showing that he's way way behind and heading for a terrible performance. If this goes the same as the primaries, then we should expect Clinton to maintain her commanding lead all the way through to a victory in November. This time, Trump needs the polls to do a 180-degree turnaround, rather than needing them to stay the same like they did in the primaries. [editline]10th May 2016[/editline] Actually here's a better way of putting it. While the pundits and analysts were wrong about Trump in the primaries, the polls weren't. They consistently gave him a lead, and (to the surprise of pundits) that was borne out in the results. Now they're showing Clinton trouncing him in the general election, and the fact that he 'defied expectations' in the primaries does not give us any reason to think that the polls are wrong now.

Getting the white male vote is good enough to win the republican nomination. It wont be enough to become president.
if I had a nickle for every time I heard he's fucked, I'd buy out a chuckie cheese.
Mitt polled far, FAR better with women than Trump and he got obliterated by Obama in 2012. Without the minority vote you are already in huge trouble (None of us have to guess how well Trump does with minorities right now), but without a decent portion of the women's vote, you are completely boned.
The spectacle of the Republican primaries has made some people forget how general elections work
