The escalating ukranian conflict, "The Tom Clancy" conspiracy

Starting off from the point of the current escalating conflict in ukrania, aswell as the running conspiracies regarding the Russian involvement,
aswell as infiltration of its eastern neighbours have always seemed as a very scary scenario of coming war.
With the recent developments of confirmed sightings of Russian servicemen across ukranian territory
and generally the goings ons descriped in this article:

Actually reminded me of a scenario I had seen somewhere before...
Naturally the thoughts going beyond this point is purely speculation and conspiracy of a possible future
in this conflict...
As mentioned before the current events in ukraine and the escalating conflict with Russia, reminded me of a
scenario I had seen before, after thinking about it long and hard without having it come to mind I gave up on
the search. That was until I recently decided to start playthrough of one of my favorite game series from when
I was younger, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series.
Taking into account that the Ghost Recon series is based of the novel of the same name, written by Tom Clancy,
aswell as the common fact that Tom Clancy is notoriously good at writing novels, based in the future from
his experiences and current events of the point in time he is writing, the introductory video of the
game came with shocking similarity to the events and (possible?) future events of a possible Russian invasion
in an attempt to re-create a new Soviet union.
The video I speak of can be seen here:

The portion of the video in question ranges from the video start to about 0:33
As mentioned before, this is all purely speculation and conspiracy of a possible future in the escalating conflict towards Russia,
nevertheless the topic seems quite intrigueing if you ask me and I'd like to read what others might think of this and possible
build upon the story with their own ideas and beliefs.
Please do try your best to not instantly bunk this theory of thought down.
Russia has always sought to expand it's borders, rarely not doing so in any point in their history, so it doesn't necessarily take a prophet to tell you they would do so in the future.
My dad is an avid Clancy fan and has mentioned on more than one occasion that the situation in Ukraine is eerily similar to the events of one of his novels. I don't recall which one, however. I think that Clancy was skilled at looking at history and then-current politics and extrapolating plausible futures based on that, but I don't believe that there is any sort of conspiracy.
There's a conspiracy theory revolving around Tom Clancy's death; the reason he was "silenced" was due to the fact he was letting out too much valuable information in his novels and games.

He was a book writer. He wrote them for entertainment. I doubt he was fortune-telling future conflicts and that people who say these events are matching his books are just going by confirmation-bias.
