One day after a plane had to make an emergency landing, yet another has to do the same
JEFFERSON COUNTY - Jefferson County Emergency Management coordinator Greg Fountain tells Fox 4 News that according to the manager of the Jack Brooks Regional Airport a pilot made a hard landing late Sunday afternoon. No one was hurt. The plane has been towed to a hanger. No word yet on how many passengers, if any, in addition to the pilot were on the plane. The news comes after a hard landing yesterday (Saturday) in which the landing gear of a plane did not fully deploy cause the plane to land on its belly at the airport in Jefferson County near the Beaumont/Nederland border. Three on board that plane were not injured.

I feel bad for everyone else on that plane.
This article looks like it was written by a child, no offense to the author. Took me a couple of seconds to realize what one of the sentences was trying to say.
Major airports usually see at least one emergency landing per week.
Condolences to the scared passengers but yeah... considering this happens worldwide at least once a day, the title is a bit under-sensationalist, I guess.

If you're gonna write a story about airplanes, it'd be good to get the terminology down...
With the amount of planes constantly flying all around the world, its not surprising to hear stories of minor failures here and there.
Dammit, because 1 plane went down at the end of the year, everyone goes nuts over flying.
Fear sells.
The media's been having a field day with aviation, even going as far as to report on simple engine failures while aircraft are on the ground. It's all shit built on hype.
Remember how last year with the news helicopter in Seattle and that one Irish helicopter (which most likely crashed due to the immense amount of fog there was that morning) suddenly made helicopters scary and full of problems for a week?
There was also the Police helicopter in Glasgow (?) that crashed into a pub
