I bet those terrorists are shitting their pants
BOO BOO BOO BOOO
BABABA BABABAA
This is how they train, not how they fight.
pew pew! you're dead!!
I don't think I could take training seriously if I had to do that.
To be honest, we do that in the army around here too when doing exercises since there's no need for live ammunition. Instead of making pewpew-sounds we use terms like burst and shot though. Also our army is a joke anyway.
We did the exact same thing in the Finnish army.
Imagine about 30 coastal jaegers lying on a hill shouting "PANG PANG PANG PANG"
it was pretty awkward but we got used to it.
[editline]3rd May 2013[/editline]
And our NCO's screaming
"SHOUT LOUDER! IT'S FUCKING WAR!! AAAAH!"
When I saw them getting in the truck I was desperately hoping the driver would go "BRRUM, brmbrmbrmbrm *Beep* *beep* brmbrmbrmbrmBRRRRRRRRRRRM, BRRRRRRRRM...."
This is pretty standard in armies, especially in a quite poor country like Mali, where they probably can't afford blanks and only purchase live ammuniton to be used in fighting.

Same here. It was silly.

Never would have guessed
I do feel sorry for the soldiers there though, they really didn't look like they wanted to be recorded, and the one prone with the branch in his face.

Nylands brigad?
Nowadays we use the word "SKÄDÄM"
Training on a tight budget. Not the greatest way but whatever better than nothing.

have you seen the vice documentary where they're embedded with malian soldiers?
considering how they fight, they might as well be shouting "BOOM" at the bad guys
Nylands brigad?

Our contingent also liked to use "DÄGÄ DÄGÄ DÄGÄ DÄGÄ"
(Dägä is a slang word for "days" which is basically the only thing you think about in the Finnish army)
Is it just me, or did I hear the words "rough sex" at around 0:24 in the video?
