Didn't see this posted, so here is the trailer for the new Muse album which comes out this September. quite disappointed it's dubstep, but I guess they'll make it good somehow...
What the fuck happened Muse?!
What the fuck happened Muse?!
you're judging a new album on a 2 minute teaser? also does it actually say somewhere that it is dubstep? because that might've just been used for this video..
you're judging a new album on a 2 minute teaser? also does it actually say somewhere that it is dubstep? because that might've just been used for this video..
Well it's safe to assume an album's trailer is going to use music off the album.
god damnit
I hope its nothing like the end of that trailer.
Wow that trailer was pretty bad, I honestly hope the album is better than that.
Well it's safe to assume an album's trailer is going to use music off the album.
Maybe one song has dubstep in it? (hopefully not) Either way, here's hoping they're the same old muse. [editline]6th June 2012[/editline] Their synths were always amazing, can't see them going and ruining them by making it dubstep...
funniest thing i've seen all week. basically had the same reaction i've always had to muse, "are these guys for real??".
Oh my god they're regressing more and more after The Resistance, too much pandering to popular music genres. It was a sad day when I had to delete a song from a Muse album, Undisclosed Desires was too painful to listen to.
When I heard that their new album would be influenced by electronic music, I thought it would be more along the lines of when Radiohead started becoming more of an experimental band after OK Computer. To me dubstep(or any heavier sounding electronic music) really doesn't fit muse at all, especially with the orchestral and hard rock sounds of their previous albums. I hope its good nonetheless
I thought it would be more along the lines of when Radiohead started becoming more of an experimental band after OK Computer.
the difference is that Radiohead isn't actively seeking to hit big on the billboards.
neither was muse until the resistance, and that was still a great album
stopped caring about muse after absolution some of their best stuff was during the showbiz and origin of symmetry eras [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] absolution is when bellamy went off the deep-end with the paranoid government conspiracy bullshit
please jesus fuck don't be dubstep i could barely hack the end of that trailer
Seems that they've taken the same path with Korn. Though Korn's new album was decent.
Looks good, bit of faith guys. Muse try new stuff every Album.
I'm not sure what to think. It didn't sound very good once the dubstep started to be honest.
Looks good, bit of faith guys. Muse try new stuff every Album.
Yeah, they do, but do you remember the last album's new experiment? I think the majority of Muse fans stood a bit off. I still can't listen to it today.
Really? I liked Undisclosed Desires, was a nice change from Resistance and MKUltra.
They're really gunning for the title "somehow made an album that is even worse than 'The Resistance'" aren't they?
I'm pretty sure we have nothing to fear. Muse are musicians and I'm sure whatever they produce will have musicality written all over it. In some way this seems like a natural graduation from the synthish sounds of Orgin and Showbiz. It's got some of the animalistic Muse back in it and I have no problem with this. I enjoyed Resistance but their earlier works entertain me the most. Plus I think dubstep (or similar genres) in a live environment is highly enjoyable when done correctly.
Holy shit, that was atrocious. I feel embarrassed for the Muse fans out there. Even before the shitstep kicks in, the music in the trailer was uninspired and shitty.
Well, it's certainly better than Korn's forays into derpstep
Eh it seems.. okayish.. but what hits me most is that it doesn't sound like Muse I suppose.
Maybe it's a joke. Bellamy is a funny guy. Maybe the dubstep was just some kind of silly joke. IT BETTER BE A FUCKING JOKE
watching people jerking off bellamy after every shity album he puts out is pretty funny he's been making shit music for the last few years, just accept it
Oh wait a second
To anyone saying "OMGZZZ MUZE IZ BEINGZ FUXXED BY DAH DUBSTEPZZ" Just stop it. If you've listened to A LOT* of Muse like I have and seen them live you will recognise the piece at the end as a mega beefy Muse Jam.
He has a point. I saw them last year and he's right.
I haven't been interested in Muse for sometime now doesn't really look like i've been missing anything.
Bellamy jokingly described the album as a "christian gangsta rap jazz odyssey, with some ambient rebellious dubstep and face melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia" on his Twitter account.
I'm no longer worried.
I'm pretty sure that "dubstep" is Matt's guitar and Kaoss Pad.
