this was my first time playing STALKER Call of Pripyat with mods, and it's been a long time since I played STALKER in general, hope you had a laugh
edit: post your own STALKER footage if you wanna share
Nice video!
BTW, if you want your misery to not be brown, download the mod called absolute nature 3 lite and slap it over. Works wonders.
Here's a STALKER life lesson: avoid playing Misery mod if you don't want to fall into a depression.

It is kind of fun spending all of your money on cheap mosin ammo and a pkm, then spawn 50 bandits in their base and go wild. For the 3 seconds it lasts...
Misery really is one of the best mods I've played, it renewed my love for stalker
in misery you should try getting stoned, coked up, drunk off your ass, and grab the biggest shooter you have and charge into the merc base in zaton or the bandit base in jupiter.
btw you gotta survive (for maximum fun)

Cocaine in Misery is one of the most useful consumables, and so is Morphine (or it might've been something else).
Cocaine is perfect for long loot hauls, and those adrenaline shots are even better.
For those of you who haven't played Misery, here's a rundown:
1. Walk one step
2. Start dying of thirst and starvation
3. Eat food and use medkits
4. Walk one step
5. "Lost to the Zone"
A firefight in misery can either take just 10 seconds or last 20 minutes, sometimes more.
My stalker experience.

This is pretty much my favourite stalker vid of all time.
Every time I see the bandit rocking up to blast both barrels in this guy's face just makes me think of the impending black out for myself every time I drink vodka. "Lights out cunt"
Not stalker but this was in related videos

Stalker is a fantastic experience.
Which stalker game is the best to start off for a noob?

play them in order of release. shadow of chernobyl -> clear sky -> call of pripyat. then you can play around with mods
It's threads like this that make me regret forgetting to bring my copy of Call of Pripyat with me when I moved into my apartment to go to uni.
When I come home in a few weeks for Christmas break, I'll be sure to grab it.
I actually love MISERY. I like how it makes stalker look, and I actually do pretty well in it. Currently On a second playthrough with my sniper, using mostly shotguns. I got a custom spas from nimble my second in-game day, a sunrise suit my third, and a sphere-08 helmet the fourth. I was just playing and I killed all of the mercs in the merc camp, found two artifact containers and two application modules with artifacts on the mercs, and then after selling that stuff I went and found a wrenched, a fireball, and a flame near the barge and in the boiler anomaly. I was able to go in the boiler because I saved the dude, and he gave me a fireball artifact which I used with an AAM with a flame, and I just stuck the fireball straight onto my belt. Sunrise + sphere 08 + steel plates is a fairly light, armored, and anomaly resistant combo.
It is a very good series. The one in the comic is Call of Pripyat, but there are 2 others as well.
Just started Misery a few days ago, I'm very good at spending all my money in preparation for looting something worth just enough to cover for any health or gear damage that was the result of getting said loot.
I'd recommend to anyone whose new, save money and just buy ammo and food here and there. If you find cigs smoke some. Always have at least 2 medkits with you at all times while exploring. Don't spend money on weapons or dumb shit, just get Sunrise or the science suits (forgot their names) asap. Travel with other Stalkers. Hunting makes ok money early game. Also it's sometimes better to just buy a new gas mask rather than repairing it, sometimes they go for like 10k+ to repair and cost 8k to buy.

I managed to beat Misery with both all my team and my sanity intact.

The way I start is to sell the non-essentials you get initially, and then buy the cheapest gasmask you can get. After that just go and do the easiest missions such as sultans ambush (side with beard, you get more dosh im fairly sure) the bloodsucker quest, the barge quest, unreachable stash, and the transaction quest. After doing all those you should have enough for a fairly good shooter/sunrise suit. After that its just artifact hunting. Also never sell food or repair/maintenance items you find unless its raw meat or you have a million of them, and always get any stashes you can. Also I usually keep the most useful drugs I find in stashes/bodies, because some give you p. good anti-radiation effects or anti-psy effects. I am pretty sure the bloodsucker quest gives you a full thing of psy-block.
Also unless you are fighting in a radioactive environment, take off your gasmask because it will get shot to bits otherwise (except for the military gasmasks like the sphere-08 and above)
Also if you are ever being chased by any type of mutant and cant handle them all at once with the gun you have, hop on the nearest rock. Also for the bloodsucker quest, you can hide behind where you put the gas in, and just poke out to get the bloodsuckers to walk in front of you.
Just finished the mission where you steal a laptop from some mercenaries in the sewage plant, I shot one of the mercs in the front, creeped all the way around the perimeter and stole the laptop while they were all searching for me in the front. I feel smrat.

Both times I did that mission +misery mod, I ended up hiding in the pipes below the main building. I'd just pop the mercs in the head whenever they showed their faces. I picked up a lot of loot after that. Unfortunately, any of the merc corpses I couldn't get to in time lost their gear.
