Yeah I have the same problem with Vangelises Blade runner blues it's 9 minutes long and 365 plays :(
But are you guys using media players that put the play count up by one if you listen to the first few seconds?
I have like 20 listens on a song I've only listened to like once because I like the song immediately before it a lot, but I keep forgetting to set it to loop.
The songs with 100+ on mine are so completely random, I love having varied tastes.

I'm using media monkey on Windows 7, not sure how to do it on Itunes, but for this you right click on Artist or title right above your music, And select Played #
