Driving in Russia isn't that dangerous. There are far worse places to be a driver in and not all of them are third world countries. The reason why Russia got such bad fame is primarily, because a lot of people have dash-cams (because of insurance scams), so we've got a lot more footage from Russian car crashes than from any other nation.

Also, a quarter of the world's population lives there, so there's a lot more cars on the road to begin with. That, combined with the dashcam spam, means we find ten russian moron drivers for every one western moron driver when we poke around Youtube.
Russia does have a drink driving problem, though.
You guys should see driving in China.
Now that's bad.

As already mentioned, in Russia the problem with drinking, and for this and many car accidents. Also another reason for accidents are bought driver's license, can not drive it.

Trust me. One out of four people do NOT live in Russia. That would make the population much higher than even China.

Good job taking figurative statements literally.

Excuse me?
Also part of the problem are the conditions - most of these videos are icy/snow/low visibility
Edit: is it "are the conditions" or "is the conditions" ?

Erm...

What is it with Facepunch being unable to see obviously figurative phrases these days? Jesus H Christ you guys are blind or something.
Also, literally just two posts above yours, is the one I quoted explaining that it was figurative to the last person to take it literally.
Typical it put on the road
why are you posting the same video
do you think no one saw it the first time so you're giving them 2 chances?
Does anyone have that video where there is a japanese dude driving on a highway and then there's a burning car on the side of the road and then he says "shiiiit, what happeen?"
why are you posting the same video

Because it double posted and didn't automerge?
Nevermind, just looked at the timestamps.

There is nothing figurative in the statement "a quarter of the world's population lives there" when it literally sounds like you're saying "1-in-4 people on Earth live in Russia." It doesn't even sound like an exaggeration. You just went ahead and made yourself sound like an idiot while trying to prove that there are more cars in Russia than any nation in the rest of the Western world.

Let's also not forget that we are communicating in text. People cannot magically assume something to be figurative. Lets also not forget there are actually people here who would seriously say something like what Cull said in a serious tone. But in this instance it looks like he's just trying to backpedal from what he said.
