• WASD, PC Game Covers

After being inspired by bands like Powerglove, Armcannon, and Metroid Metal at events like Bitgen and MAGFest, I decided to start my own similar project. However I didn't want to just make covers of console songs people had always done. Therefore, I elected to just make covers of popular PC games, which were lacking in the cover department. Staying true to the subject matter, I've named it WASD. UPDATE 1/5: Happy new year! Enjoy my newest demo, with direct download from Bandcamp for free! The CD has Diablo, a remade Hell March, and Secret of Monkey Island. Was a bit disappointed that you didn't do the original Hell March :(
New track right here, the menu theme from Metro 2033. I hope you enjoy.
Hell march 2 is a grungy, boomy sorta song, you made it sound pathetic! Give it some bass, man! And where's the war cry gone? Metro: The transition from acoustic guitar to metal guitar is very sudden and doesn't really sound right, you should have some light rhythm and maybe a crescendo leading up to it. Again, it needs bass. I don't know the other song so I haven't bothered.

More new tracks, Half-Life 2 aw yeeeeee. I tried getting the bass mix better in this one. Previously I had always removed a ton of bass because I always heard that having a really full low-end makes your tracks sound horrible, so I ended up removing too much. I think the balance on this is better though.
This new track is from La-Mulana, and is almost finished but not quite. This is my first full track with both my new guitar interface and EZDrummer. CC is appreciated! Also, I recently re-recorded the Quake 2 song, and I've updated the OP to show the new one.
Can you do this please
Already working on it! I've had it on the backburner since I started. I'm thinking of doing this combined with probably the main menu theme. I'm working on the Starcraft Terran music now, so I'll add UT99 to the list for next one to focus on.
I have two songs for you all right now: First Is a Remix of Tristram Village from Diablo, my first actual attempt with amp sims, cab sims, and Reaper. The quality is amazing compared to my old songs, so check this one out. Second is the Unreal Tournament medley, which I entered in the Dwelling of Duels contest this month. This is the version I entered, But I'm going to take it and re-mix it with the same plugins I used in the Diablo song, since there's such a huge difference in my quality. However, you can listen to the original version now and pretend. http://dwellingofduels.net/dodarchive/13-09-DoD_Anniversary/50-Katamari-UT-Entering-DoD.mp3
Whoa, just listened to the diablo cover. Gotta say I loved that original score, and when you dropped the metal in I was slightly put off at first. Then I realized what the thread name was and the fact that, if you DIDN'T change it anything, it would've been kind of a shitty cover (more like a copy). So hey great stuff. Just went from the la-mulana track from about 10 seconds in to the half-life 2 cover. Oddly enough it sounded like some sort of awesome crossfade o.o
I've just put out a new demo with some new tracks! [thumb]http://f0.bcbits.com/img/a0256537187_10.jpg[/thumb] You can get it right here for free!
