As for the talk about snorting, if you just wanted to get wasted super fast and discreetly (as discreet as you can be while being totally hammered), having vaporized alcohol would probably be better weight for weight, but any fast way of absorbing alcohol always runs the risk of making you overdose easily... not that it would be a problem with a powder, you'd probably die of nosebleeds before getting alcohol poisoning

Alcohol burns because it lowers the temperature threshold of a protein from 43°C to 34°C which is about the same as body temperature. So the heat that you are feeling is really just your own body thinking it's too hot.

Well you are also snorting the carrier substance and he makes a pretty clear point why you wouldn't want to snort this stuff, simply because there are simpler, easier, safer, non painful methods of doing it. He isn't even talking about the time it takes for the power to effect you. Hes basically saying the amount of powder you have to sniff is beyond the lethal dose just to get the same effect wine gives you.

Not true. It would be absorbed quicker yes, but you'd still need to sniff a fuckload of it to get drunk. And sniffing 100g of white powder for the same effect as a glass of wine is ridiculous.

Wrong. It's impossible to snort enough ammounts for it to equal to a shot. They added additional volume to the powder to prevent this.

I go hunting and hiking all the time, and if I wanted to bring booze I'd put it in either a flask, or a portable/clip container. To be honest I'd rather not, because booze + alcohol + wilderness isn't a very miscible concoction. I'd rather not be a naked rotting corpse half-eaten by a bear or panther.

If you snorted liquid alcohol, yes. But snorting palcohol is pointless. An entire bag equals to a shot of vodka, so you might as well do a shot, instead of spending about an hour on snorting all of it.
