oy vey, this guy
why do people care so much about the companion cube in the first place, it was just one of those amusing jokes like the cake that people took too far
moreover, idk why he keeps talking about the game giving a feeling of crippling loneliness when glados' dark humor was more than enough to keep anyone company. he's just plastering his over-exaggerated emotions onto the blank slate player character and taking it as a global constant
and how exactly does his emancipation grill argument work when the cube gets zapped anyway in the same fashion if you try to take it into the elevator
i mean, he seems like a dumb enough guy already, i wouldn't be surprised if he never found the most obvious easter egg in the game

but
it's just a theory
a game theory
You have to watch his "Is The Pyro a Man or a Woman" video, where he uses his "scientific knowledge" to point out how the Pyro is gay.
i want those companion cube panties
there was this photoshoot with the companion cube portrayed in some sort of kinky latex vacuum seal, to me that's the secret.

Avatar fits
The actual story is so much more boring.
There was a long level that required using a cube, but testers kept leaving the cube behind. To draw attention to it, they gave the cube a heart and had GLaDOS talk about it. Then playtesters got really attached to it but they couldn't take it out of the level. Valve then added the destruction activity to finalize the cube and make the player dislike GLaDOS.
-snip-
I hate over-rationalizations. Let life be interpreted by whatever individuals see fit. This is just as terrible as the theories over song lyrics.
I like the idea of Glados manipulating test subjects more. Also, why on earth would they bother putting the bodies in cubes? I mean, they have a ton of acid and those vaporization balls if they wanted to get rid of them.

No this dude sucks and his video suck.
About the vid - it's pointless.
Cock joke, SO FUNNI CAEK, Boxxy.
Jesus fuck this guy.
Looking way to far into things. He's just trying to force things to fit his theory, like placing the Cube picture on the calendar - Rattman was just insane and thought the Companion cube was talking to him, everyone else was dead and he had no one else to talk to. The cube was all he had left and he became so obsessed with it he treated it like an actual person.
He is also ignoring the turrets possibly being sentient as well (E.g the Prometheus Turret obviously wasn't programmed to do all that), they also use Personality Cores/Constructs like most of Aperture technology. We know that cores can feel pain (in some form) and GlaDOS mentions a door AI living, so the majority of the personality constructs must be sentient in some form.
All of this guys videos is about overthinking everything, it's pretty much the entire point.
I find this stuff pretty entertaining to be honest, but there's no need to take it all so seriously.
In the chamber with the broken grid, he forgot to mention the fact GLaDOS vaporizes two Companion Cubes (or was it one?).
I think I just broke this theory.

There's a difference between overthinking things, and just trying to find things that fit your point. If you look this deeply, you should at least look at all the details.

Not neccesarily, he was talking about emancipation grids specifically. There are ways to vaporize organic matter, like those ball things can.
