Pasco County Sheriff's Office posted a photo of 23-year-old Matthew Oliver on their Facebook page Wednesday as part of their Fugitive of the Day program. A short time later, deputies said Oliver posted comments under the photo. Officials did not elaborate on what Oliver wrote. Bay News 9 reports Oliver was arrested without resistance Friday as he walked outside of an apartment complex wearing a camouflage jacket with the hood up.
http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/facebook-comments-lead-deputies-robbery-suspect/nYqJJ/
probably commented "oh shit"
"Haha look at this guy what a faggot"
Officials did not elaborate on what Oliver wrote.
They seem to have deleted the post (here's the link it used to be): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=566334646738083&set=a.204821599556058.47006.140881115950107&type=1 (sauce: http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp/news/region_pasco/new_port_richey/pasco-countys-fugitive-of-the-day-arrested-after-comments-on-facebook)
I bet it was something immature like, "Look at this sexy motherfucker. You'll never catch him!"

"hoo rah" Famous last words.
His ears are fuckin massive or is it just me?
The place I work at used facebook to track down a shoplifter (this wasn't something cheap)
Lol can't catch me #fugitive
"I do not look like that"
To be perfectly honest, the article doesn't specity that the comments were used in any way to track down the criminal. Unless Facebook was contacted to give a location for the messages, it may be possible that he didn't actually hurt himself greatly by posting.
#nomakeup #allnatural
Social media is better at catching criminals than the police. Nowadays if you need a confession you don't torture someone but give him a laptop with facebook open.

no wonder the pd didn't elaborate
If the kid was in the hospital like he says, he will have discharge papers. That alone should completely expunge him. I'm betting the PD likely fucked up on this one. Also, him posting on FB is more than likely not how they tracked him down.
