The primary suspect in the murder of Palestinian teen Mohammed Abu Khdeir was convicted of murder on Tuesday, after a Jerusalem court rejected an insanity plea brought forward by the defendant.
Yosef Chaim Ben-David properly understood what he was doing and was in full control of his actions, the court ruled, adding that it was well within his ability to prevent the crimes from being committed.
The court convicted Ben-David for charges of murder, kidnapping for the purpose of murder, and battery causing bodily harm.
Ben-David will be sentenced in early May.

The two other minors involved in the murder were already convicted and sentenced, the first to Life, and the other to 21 Years. Each was also ordered to pay $7,700 to family of murdered Palestinian teen.
Good to see this family have some sense of justice given back to them.

The group, currently under investigation, has been interrogated by the Shin Bet and the Israel Police over the past two weeks for allegedly committing hate crimes against Palestinians.
The suspects included two minors and a soldier. The court decided to extend their remand by four days due to the evidence gathered against them.
It's not in the English article yet, abut according to the Hebew version the suspects have already confessed to several hate crimes including setting Palestinian cars on fire as well as throwing molotov bottles and smoke grenades at Palestinian homes.
There are also apparently six rather than five suspects.
